Yes, that will DEFINITELY happen. Fact.

Gone for one, thanks, but I'll only wear it indoors when I'm alone and I'll be sure to take it off if someone knocks on the door.

None of these kinds of t-shirts are funny.

I don't find it offensive, it's just boring... humour and/or "random" slogans for people who aren't witty enough to make their own jokes =p

Still, not a bad for a fiver, eh? :whistling:

Just bought 2, as my mate has MS and in a chair, and I am on crutches permanently! Superb!

As for people taking offence, try being in our shoes for a while, you can either get depressed or see the lighter side of everything.

if thats true please feel free to take a pic of you 2 wearing them with boxing gloves on. Now that will make me chuckle

I am also disabled, find it offensive, but inevitable as other forms of discrimination have been made illegal :-(

The one light at the end of the tunnel is with it being Play.com , will it ever arrive even if you do order it, the last Play.com item I ordered was just cancelled with no explanation, and I haven't ordered since after seeing other poor publicity since.

This isn't going to make me rush to use them again.

Particulalrly unpleasing to seeing it is a moderator who has posted this thread too. Of course my post will now be deleted, but at least it will still show in the Google cache

No, your post won't be deleted and you're entitled to your opinion. I'm not a fan of South Park or this T-Shirt either but as you can see from the votes plenty of people are.

It's up to retailers to decide what to sell and members of the public to decide what to buy. If Play.com and other retailers feel it's OK to sell this T-shirt, high street stores sell South Park DVDs, Channel 4 feels it's OK to show South Park on TV and people want to watch it and buy the merchandise then I'm not going to make a judgement against any of them.

I would like to offer you my personal apologies if you're offended by this. But for the record, I've never had a problem with a Play.com order.

Ducky.

If this this was worn in public, I think most people would agree it would give rise to Police action. Anyone in doubt is welcome to try it and see how quick I would be reporting it to the Police.

Substitute any word for "cripple" such as "black," "coloured" or any slang word relating to race, or the word "Muslim," or "Jew" and put it with an appropriate cartoon image, and you have an idea of how offensive it is, and I am 100% certain this post would be removed.
Items of an indiscrete nature are removed REGULARLY, so we all know that this site remmoves offensive items.

Interesting to see that an "offshore" company is selling this, not mainland UK!

Play.com have well documented problems very recently, you must have missed them
news.bbc.co.uk/1/h…stm
v3.co.uk/v3/…der etc.... in addition, in deals on here people have reporrted items have been cancelled, some clothing items come to mind.

A video on youtube will be better though.

if it reportedly caused harassment, alarm or distress then it could possibly be considered an offence under the Public Order Act, and the wearer requested to cover it up

Thank God we live in a democracy...

love south park and think this is very good value although i actually think this is harsh..but that is just my opnion!

haven't voted btw

Im astounded by how reactionary some people are!

If any of you have even seen these episodes you'll see that they're actually mocking the people who "accept" (as if its a choice!) peoples "disability".. Grow up, its a t shirt, there's so much real bad in the world, most people in the world have a sense of humour and can recognise the irony in alot of comedy and satire.

Also never had a prob with Play.com but i know someone who has, and he was a black Jewish wheelchair-bound homosexual..i suspect Play.com is actually big brother, or the fourth reich in disguise... :w00t:

Lol great shirt for a great price, nice to see the PC brigade out in force! Far worse stuff going on in the world than a harmless t-shirt!

Disabled people can fight....I`ve bleeding seen them!!

im disabled, dont find it offensive but i wouldnt wear it.

Haha Great Epidsode Bought one for my friends bday cheers

Great for Chavs.

You would actually be spot on with my thoughts if it was the episode it comes from (assuming you are right about the tone of that show, I haven't seen the particular episode, but I am t\king your word for it. Unfortunately it is NOT an episode of South Park, which in general I like a lot - it is a picture, and a comment, in total isolation.

Context - That's the difference, and why it is offensive.

Indeed.
The reason such offensive things would be acted upon if worn in public

I'm not disabled and neither is my wife! I did once park in a disabled car parking space though and so I feel able to comment. I do not find this T-shirt offensive.

I would also not find a T-shirt that said Black Fight, Jew Fight, Muslim Fight etc offensive. But as they don't have their own parking spaces I feel my opinion may not count for much.

Ah, a member of the two wrongs make it right brigade!

Absolute joke you can wear that and abuse disabled people but if you wear a slightly racist t-shirt you would probably have about forty five charges against you.

I know someone that has a T-shirt saying "I'm not getting jiggy with it, I have Parkinson's".

Although my favourite at the moment is one of my (black) friends - he has one with "Randomly searched EVERY TIME" that he wore last week when we were taking a flight. And yes, he got a free frisking.

It's no revelation to me... abuse and attacks on the disabled are an everyday thing - a well documented everyday thing. I count myself lucky to not get as much of it as some people, perhaps because I don't have the stereotypically disabled "look", although I still get it often enough :-(

I didn't expect here to be any different, after all earnings for clicks on referral links are EVERYTHING here, and it is borderline legal to be offensive to the disabled. The one sure thing, the number of referral clicks will be big too, as everyone goes to have a look -(

The problem I have with these Tee shirts is the quality - its crap!!!

I have now bought a few of these Tee shirts with various prints (jack daniels, batman, spongebob and a couple others) and its the same material on each, its thin and rough - seems like all the Tee's that have an rrp of £11.99 are made of this cheap crappy material (think its fruit of the loom)

I don't know why I keep on buying them, as I never seem to ware them - can't resist a bargin :-D:whistling:

I find it offensive, and no I'm not a member of the PC brigade. I just happen to have a young son who is a full time wheelchair user. I'm sorry for not seeing the 'lighter' side of things, but I spend a lot of my time fighting for my boys rights, so he isn't discriminated against. The thought of him being bullied and called things like 'cripple' as he gets older both horrifies and depresses me.

Great episode.

*Runs into church full of people....."Cripple fightttttt"*

Bit more than that.

Especially since this: dailymail.co.uk/new…tml

the police are on their toes about disability hate crime

Disability, race and homosexuality are all things that could potentially get you arrested under hate crime laws.

So should cripples have the right to fight or not?

What did they do ...

They trampled the family's hedge, hurled stones and eggs at the windows, shoved dog excrement and fireworks through the letterbox, screamed obscenities and threatened Miss Pilkington's dyslexic son Anthony with a knife.

Yet despite receiving 33 desperate 999 calls in ten years, police dismissed Miss Pilkington as 'over-reacting' and classed her as 'low priority'.

You've missed the point.

If you call up the police saying you've been burgled, that is low priority, in many areas they won't do anything.

If somebody reports you wearing a t-shirt with this slogan on, they are REQUIRED to log it as a 'hate crime' and give it top priority. While it might not be very serious, the hate crime label forces the police to treat it seriously.

It is not hate crime though. It does not say "Kill cripples" or anything like that. Or are you saying that just the use of the word cripple is hate crime? If so, I think I will dig out my old 1960s "Support the Spastics" badge and wear that and see if I am arrested for hate crime.

You could at least try getting your facts straight before posting.

tv.com/sou…tml

Info on the episode of South Park called . . Cripple Fight. And that you havent actually seen it is already obvious. If anything, South Park should be praised for making a guy in a wheelchair (who can only speak his own name) into a main character in the first place. Hes popular with the other kids, always gets included in their adventures and even occasionally gets into fights. You know - like a "normal" kid. But hey, lets all get bent out of shape over a picture you didn't get - knee-jerking is so much easier than an actual attempt to read between any lines.

wow I couldn't see this argument coming :whistling:
