The definitive collector's edition of series one and two of SPACED follows the surreal fortunes of Tim and Daisy--two underachieving twenty-somethings--and a number of their friends and neighbours.

The sitcom SPACED features Tim and Daisy (Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson), two quirky young adults who pose as a professional couple in order to rent a flat in Tufnell Park, London. Tim is an assistant manager of a comic book store and an aspiring comic book artist while Daisy is an unemployed writer-journalist. The definitive collector's edition includes series one and two of SPACED and a host of extras. Series one of the subversive comedy follows the lives of the duo and their friends and neighbours. Series two follows the developments in the relationships between the characters and is a highly impressive, funny and clever continuation of the first series. The barrage of pop culture reference and unusual and innovative editing techniques helps SPACED to create a style of its own. SPACED has a distinctive cinematic quality that Simon Pegg and director Edgar Wright brought to the romantic zombie comedy SHAUN OF THE DEAD.

FANTASTIC SERIES 100% RECOMMENDED

WHO KEEPS ON VOTED COLD ON MY THREADS

Stupid people. When they vote cold they should be forced to state a reason why and post a better price.

Ive posted deals that are half the RRP, and much cheaper than anywhere else. People still vote cold. I really think when voting cold users should have to add a post to the thread and state where they have found a better price, that way you'd eliminate the ignorant members voting because they dont like a product rather than because its a bad price.

Great show btw, its sooo clever. My favourite bit -

Tim: "You look like a tw*t in that jumpsuit"Daisy: "Dont say that word, … Tim: "You look like a tw*t in that jumpsuit"Daisy: "Dont say that word, its a word that HATES women."Tim: "What 'tw*t?"Daisy: "No. 'Jumpsuit'"

It could be the members never heard of Spaced. So they are voting cold based on that rather deal.

That would be my guess.

Voted Hot as it is really worth the money even at 15.99.

Just to add the the hot cold debate lol, I work for an independent entertainment wholesaler and we have been doing these for a few months now at £4.00 (trade price) and knowing how many we have sold I'm guessing there must be quite a few places selling it cheaper than £9.99 (ebay, markets etc) that could explain why its being voted cold maybe? Just a thought.

I think it's definitely more likely that if people have been voting this cold it's because they don't know or don't like the programme.
I've been looking out for this box set for around three months now. A while ago it was posted that Virgin Megastores (or whatever they are called these days) had it instore for £9.99 which was the price I wanted to pay. But since I'm out of town and going into town would cost me at least £5 in petrol and parking I held off. The online delivered price between then and up until Christmas delivery cut off was generally £14-£16 at the cheapest places. Considerably more at others.
Ebay was also very expensive (as it often is for DVD box sets for some bizarre reason - some people seem to think if it's on Ebay then it HAS to be cheaper than the shops it seems!) at generally around £15 delivered for good condition used, close on £20 new.
Right upto Christmas, when most people had already got gifts that required posting sorted the prices tailed off. Yet looking on Ebay the sales in the last 2 weeks (13 copies) have averaged £14.85 delivered (to the nearest penny or two). Some of which were second hand. You will also see that the lowest buy it now price currently available is £19 delivered.
Therefore I find it highly unlikely that people are voting it cold due to being cheaper on Ebay.
As for market stalls, well I'm not someone who attends too many markets but I doubt they'd be very much cheaper. I'm afraid I'd also be very, very wary of buying DVDs from a market stall unless I knew it was sound.
HMV are the cheapest for this by at least £2.50 at the moment and like I say it would have been around £4 more for pre-Chistmas delivery. As far as I can see, for anyone who is looking for this set, as I was, then this is a very hot deal, thanks to the OP.
Thanks for your info though masterbrown. Very interesting to see how much of a mark up the shops add to such things. Especially with a new out full price single DVD! MAybe you should start up your own Ebay shop?! (assuming you haven't already)
