The Sergio Leone "Spaghetti Westerns" did not simply add a new chapter to the genre... they reinvented it. From his shockingly violent and stylized breakthrough, A Fistful Of Dollars, to the film Quentin Tarantino calls "the best directed movie of all time," The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, Leone's vision did for westerns what talkies did for all movies back in the 1920s: it elevated them to an entirely new art form. Fully restored, presented with their best-ever audio, and including audio commentaries, featurettes and more, these films are much more than just the definitive Leone collection... they are the most ambitious and influential westerns ever made.

Yeppers 100% agree with this

Excellent price, but wait a minute it's Play.com, so many incorrect prices, I will wait till it's confirmed dispatch..

Fantastic!

Excellent films - the transfers get knocked by some, often those not taking into account the drawbacks of 2 perf Techniscope and the budgetary constraints.

Argh, now £29.93
:-(

Still £9.99 and "in stock" here.

I have the DVDs already and was going to buy this, but I'm going to stick to the DVDs after the comments I've seen about the transfers. Still well worth £9.99 of anyones money if you don't own them already however.

There not as good as they should be, But there still miles better than the DVDs. For A Few Dollars More looks stunning!

anyone else notice the 5 star review at the bottom of the play page where some retard has rated it 5 stars before hes even recieved it lol

Visuals aren't great. They aren't impressive enough to buy on Blu-ray if you have them on DVD. If you haven't got them though, here's your chance.

Great price ,tempted by £14.99,good things come to those who wait rodney, heat added

Not according to reviews - not the best PQ but still a step up on anything which has gone before. e.g.

dvdbeaver.com/fil…htm

blu-ray.com/mov…81/

Brilliant films but seems only FAFDM is maybe worth having on Blu-Ray over DVD.
This trilogy deserves a definitive Blu-Ray well mastered edition, which this isn't.
Still hot though for for what you get for your £!

Transfer not as stunning as say Zulu but better than DVDs. Also for £9.99 with all the extras etc is a stunning deal whatever way you look at it.....don't understand why 3 such important films were not given the proper restoration treatment. I'm sure paramount must have weighed up the costs vs potential revenue and thought too expensive! Popular films but unlikely to sell millions.
