And what is your point? You only looking to make sure a British farmer is having their pockets lined?
Wise up.

Buy farmer friendly from supermarket where extra goes to farmer. …Buy farmer friendly from supermarket where extra goes to farmer. Especially when on offer as almost all milk lasts minimum 7 days past use by date if refrigerated - science fact!

its not just the supermarkets fault, if we had a better living wage and …its not just the supermarkets fault, if we had a better living wage and basic things in life were not stupid expensive like a loaf of bread at £1+ or bus fair at £2.50 one way just to go into town. their is a lot at fault that drives the prices. not just the supermarkets.

While I agree with your premise that wages in general should be higher and supermarkets are not necessarily to blame for milk prices, they are a huge contributing factor as they have simply threatened to buy elsewhere unless the farmgate price is lower.

The EU had a disastrous approach to the production of milk and it's enabled supermarkets to be even more powerful. Now we're in a situation where automated milking is the only truly profitable way to have cows for milk (unless you diversifying into milk based products) and this is killing off small farmers who used to employ locally and keep wages higher. Especially as funding for small business is getting harder and harder to access.
Now who keeps/makes the profits? Big companies dominating the market but working at lower margins and the people designing the milking machines!

£1?! Buy cheaper bread! However, I'm happy to pay £1+ for good quality bread because it lasts and is filling. Though, tbh, my other half makes bread and we freeze a lot of it. I also eat a lot of rye based breads which I believe are better value.

Though bus fares, absolutely, they need to be lower. But heck, that has more to do with local authorities than anything.
As we have seen in London where the mayor bothered to get involved, costs can be more reflective of use if those in power can be bothered to challenge the existing structure. Though jesus, London is still very expensive.

er.... ok.. i guess on your high horse you see things different. when you say "take a holiday to Eastern Europe" !
that must be nice... i havent had a holiday in 13 years. i go to work to pay bills and feed my family, thats it. i dont have loads of extra cash for luxury family holidays or a car. i earn enough to keep a roof over my family and pay all the bills.

How do these compare to asda shit price beans?
Has anyone else found these in their Spar? Can't see them listed on the website so don't want to make a wasted trip if its a local only deal!

Great deal if they can be found for this price though - usually stock up when Tesco drops to £1.25!

Not a sudden thing. You've just chosen to take notice.

I’d guess the last 3 or 4 years it’s gone massive with gin bars all over. I’m not a fan, as I hate the after taste although I’m quite partial to a Edinburgh gin rhubarb and ginger with a good tonic and ice, only one mind as its sickly sweet
darrenweb5 h, 23 m ago

Funny how suddenly, gin is a lovely drink.

It’s an acquired taste although given the size of the glass, overpriced fever tree tonic, amount of ice and half the herb garden it’s so far removed from the normal gin taste it’s quite refreshing
