Nice spot, thanks
Reviews seem to suggest that the mower is good but thew trimmer not so much
Thanks. Ordered one.
Problem with Argos offers is that it’s hardly available in nearby stores
Bought this last week, pretty decent so far, just to keep in mind there is only 1 power cable for both the mower and trimmer not too much of a problem but could be for some people.
Isn't this too heavy?
Ordered for new home, heat added.

Excellent deal by the looks of it.. Heat
Very very good deal! I bought the strimmer separately to replace a hopeless bosch one and I was so impressed with the build quality (plus the fact that I didn't have to manually feed the line once, unlike the bosch which I had to do every other minute) I immediately bought the mower. Similarly not disappointed with that either. Plenty of power in both plus a 3 year manufacturer guarantee. Just like Spear and Jackson tools this was money well spent! Time will tell of course how long they will last, but first impressions are favourable! Heat added
I got the Challenge mower and strimmer set for £53 instead. Done a good job thus far. Strimmer actually pretty good and gives a nice cut.
Mower pretty standard, grassbox works very well, leaves nothing on the turf.
I had the challenge mower also before changing recently - cheap but very good to be fair; lasted a good few years (5 I think) and certainly longer than the flymo one I had previously. I've the Spear and Jackson one now but would highly recommend the challenge one also if you're looking for a cheaper but good buy.
Thanks OP. Just in time and exactly what i need.

I have a Bosch one, and I wouldn't but another one. No comment on the one in this post really, as I haven't owned/used a S+J mower. My Bosch mower, which is a couple of years old isn't really the greatest of quality. It has 7 different height settings, which is great, apart from the fact the lever was cheap plastic that just snapped off recently. It was clunky to use and change the height setting. It really didn't stay set on a setting, it would slowly sink down. Probably the most annoying/poorest thing about the mower.

The handles I have had to tie rap up because the very cheap plastic used to hold them in place have snapped off over time. So all in all, I wouldnt buy a Bosch one again. I will try my luck with another mower before buy Bosch again.

We havs bosch which we bought about 11 or 12 years ago. In first few weejs use a wheel cap camd off and needed reattaching frequently. Other than that its been if until a couple weejs ago when it started to spark. I think we will give this ago as not impressed with bosch.

How the hang did you get it put together, tried for 2 hours and can't get the easy fit gadget to set handles up.
