Spear & Jackson S5551EH 51cm Corded Hedge Trimmer - 550W
£44 also comes with Manufacturer's 3 year guarantee

This Spear & Jackson hedge trimmer has 550W of power making it

ideal for medium to large-sized hedges. The long, 51cm blade length

means not only will it speed up your trimming, but it will also improve

the quality of the finish. The laser cut, dual action blades create a

cleaner cut and finish on your hedges, while the multi-position handle

and lightweight design ensure an ergonomic cutting position and makes it

easy to use for long periods of time. A large power handle with a

270 degree rotation allows you to comfortably hold down the handle no

matter what position you hold the trimmer in. The 51cm blade is perfect

for medium to large-sized hedges. The extra-wide tooth gap can

cut branches up to 20mm in diameter. The extra-long 10m power cable lets

you reach further down your garden. For extra peace of mind Spear &

If this is anything like the S&J mower and strimmer I have it'll be a very good buy. Heat added from me!
Good timing op - thanks! My trimmer packed up at the weekend! Heat
Blade length is a bit short imo for the price.
I’ve had one of these. Used it twice last year then put it away in the shed. Got it out this year and the second time using it some of my hedge got sucked into the open fan part on the bottom and the cogs chewed themselves to pieces. Design fault never buy these again.
Will these do vines, thin tree branches, undergrowth/weeds ok?

Tooth gap is 20mm so anything up to that thickness would be ok.
I bought one of these last summer and was impressed by the cutting quality and battery performance.
