can anyone recommend any of these cheapy games?

Original Poster

I bought Crash Commando as it has easy trophies and sounds like a good laugh
Pain as it's a great laugh and really cheap and if you liked a previous Ratchet and Clank game then go for that too however it is a 3GB download

Everyday Shooter is meant to be good, PAIN is good for a laugh but was hoping Wipeout might drop a bit more. Cheers OP, had no idea this had hit PSN

Wipeout HD is stunning. it's one of the few 1080p PS3 games out at the moment.

Pixle junk racers is great fun, Good price!, Also Wipeout HD is stunning, Brill price, This weeks Update has been the best in ages, RE5 Content and Worms HD is sooooo going to be bought tomorrow lol

Get Wipeout HD now. It's worth every penny. I didn't like Pain. I paid for it but ended up deleting it.

I bought Crash Commando on Wed night for £7.99.
That's annoying.

Good deals though.

Plenty of great games there. Something for everyone.

Absolutely gorgeous recreation!

SIREN Blood Curse probably isn't for everyone but I definitely enjoyed playing it at a friends a while back.
Its a survival horror game where you play through a series of episodes with various characters having different abilities, some (all?) can "sight jack" where you can see through the eyes of the zombie/possessed enemies on one half of the screen with your character on the other.
Don't expect this to be like the recent resident evil games, its more stealth based usually working out where enemies are then using the sight jack thing to let you dodge around them in the dark.
Good atmosphere though, very dark and creepy also hilarious when you mess up and blunder right into one of the enemies instead of creeping round them

Few issues with the game play, I ended up having to pop open the menu to get the map a bit too often and at times in the opening episode(s) there are a few moments where you seem to go through a cut scene get 5mins of game play then another cut scene. One real issue is that depending on your connection the episodes could take longer to download than to complete =/ I think its like maybe 10 hours long, still fun ofc.

Not bad for £15 if you like survival horror maybe worth a rental otherwise.

i have calling all cars and its an excellent game to play with frinds/kids..
mmy favv ggaame monsters is not here but is only 3.99, i have sunk more than hunndred hours in too itt. prroper bbaarrgaain

echochrome is a great game, brain bending puzzler.

sorry guys, never used this site, but could someone please tell me how I view the prices.

I can also recommend Monsters.

Pain - I think this is a 16 - but is this because of the cartoon violence or is there real bad language or other rudeness too? I'd like to know if the kids could play it - I'm sure they'd love it. (Yes I KNOW it's a 16 and they are younger but if it's only the violence, I think we could cope).

I can recommend Everyday Shooter - it is sublime (but perhaps not everyones cup of tea) and well worth the price. ]http//ww…iff

I am going to go for Crash Commando and Pain from these price cuts, as both sound like a blast.

Remember you are not saving huge sums of money here - some of the prices have only been cut by £1 (60p in the case of Piyotama?) - still, better than a nail in the foot (as I got last night!)

Wipeout HD is amazing...also Quest for the Booty is good if you're an R&C fan

I have the demo of Wipeout - looks great, but it is REALLY HARD! Not sure I have the time to put into mastering the tracks (not like the good old days, when I could sit around in pants all day eating crunchy nut corn flakes and trying to beat my best lap times).:-D

.............apolgies if that image has offended anyone.............

These prices are how much the games debuted at before they were price hiked, so really it's a con... or no longer a con...

Wipeout HD is brilliant, love it.

Might grab Siren and Wipeout later

I would recommend both Wipeout HD and bowling, as it's better than the Wii and fun for the family

Does the Bowling have motion controls? I'm getting Crash Commando.

High Velocity Bowling Is a Cool Game.

Also as many people are aware you can download each title upto 5 times so if you have trusting friends you can share downloads and split the cost, my mate downloaded Bowling and I got it off him for free, I download Poker and he got it off me for free. If people want to know how to do this then PM and I will tell you.

Get Pain & Wipeout. Buth Great Fun!

if you share PSN usernames you can share the downloads, i.e. pay once, download many times. I'm willing to do this for wipeout.

Yeah, sensible kids could play it just fine. There's nothing really rude or shocking about it.

Thanks snake for the metacritic info! Thought I'd put them in order from best to worst:

Wipeout HD is stunningly good- excellent visuals, amazing 5.1 surround sound support and just about everything else is top notch too including multiplayer. Very polished.

Anyone interested in gamesharing some of these to pay 1/5th price?

I have been doing it for a while now and works great.

Game shared with Lefal + Abvance and friends from AV Forums.

I've not done this gamesharing thing before but have a few queries before I might give it a bash...

As mentioned, a game can be downloaded 5 times per account which is the loophole that allows this game sharing to take place. What happens if I decided to upgrade my existing HDD to a larger one? Does the built in backup facility of the PS3 take care of theses games so that I wouldn't have to re-download after the upgrade?

I know it sounds like it should work but I'd appreciate it if anyone has actually upgraded their drive and still have purchase games working without have to redownload. I wouldn't want to share the all the remaining 4/5 allowed downloads if it turns out I actually need some of them myself in the future

Gamesharing is based on PSN accounts, not the games.

The 1 account can be used on 5 PS3's,

You can back up the PS3 HDD and copy on a new HDD, if it is a new PS3 1 game share goes, if it is new HDD with same PS3 that is fine.

You arent limited to 5 downloads, its a 5 console limit. Do remember that its against PSN terms to gameshare as if someone hijacks your account its tough

Thanks for the info gd_meister. I will try and get some immediate family and other relatives in on some sharing action

High Velocity Bowling is an absolutely amazing game and when friends are around, it can be played as a multiplayer party game. The motion controls work beautifully and the game is surprisingly deep and as realistic as it gets on a home console. Until Street Fighter 4 entered my house, I was playing it all the time. I highly recommend it. It's infinitely better than any other bowling game I've ever played and the £4.79 price is laughably cheap. This game is more than worthy of being a full price title.

Theft & hopefully Sony put a stop to it leaving your internal network but because of all round greed they will stop it FULL STOP.

going to buy pain! thanks didnt think to look at that link on the store lol

nothing for me there

yeah im interested in a few but not at the full prices like quest for booty - and its 3GB thats a big chunk of HDD.

plus id be worried about the game sharing thing - someone could mess my account and i have 6 downloaded games already and someone could take them.

You can gain slots back by deactivating. Ofcourse then the games wont work on the other PS3.

Lots of excellent games here. Game share or not these prices are great. Crash COmmando is alot of fun for example its like a 3d online shooter but in 2d.

I'd recommend the following:

Ratchet and Clank Quest for Booty £7.99 (if you're into quirky platform adventures)
Echocrome £4.79 (if you're into interesting art puzzle games)
SIREN Blood Curse £14.99 (if you're into silent hill, interesting take on the horror genre but a little frustrating at times)
Riff: Everyday Shooter £3.99 (awesome two stick shooter where you interactions create music. Great guitar riffs, visuals and was developed by one guy alone, Jonathan Mak)
Wipeout HD £11.99 (steal at 12 pounds, 8 tracks, various modes, allows for custom soundtrack, online play, stunning visuals etc)

I'd thoroughly recommend pixel junk monsters/eden & super stardust hd as well.
