Thanks for info, sounds good. I have family in Sheffield and have visited there a few times recently. A lovely city

I've been to Sheffield too.

I liked their bus service - when it was the socialist republic of east Yorkshire.

I actually think they should charge for this, I think it devalues it if it's free. Even just a pound each or something. What do others think?

The opening ceremony is £5. Personally, I think all events held in the city should be free, as otherwise some people are excluded. Not only from viewing events, but from parts of the city, and that just wouldnt be right. We have so many free to all events in Manc, it's great. It promotes civic pride and a sense of belonging. Just my opinion

Was a little confused by "Olympics" in the title, but I see this is the "Special Olympics GB’s National Games". Have some heat.

same here, would love to go however it's 200 miles from London!

If I was nearer, it would be great to cheer on the talented athletes.

I will be there - sheffield is great - heat added

Been to them today. Was really good. Although there was competition there was also a lot of friendship & camaraderie.
