Yep. Rather easy to do!
Just like with cars (or most things for that matter!). You can get one for £5k, but you can get one for £100k.

Its for going down mountains on love, so needs to be good quality. It's not for popping to the shops on.

The best mountain biking is done in sky resorts in the summer...so have a guess how you might get up.

Do you have to fit a satellite dish?

Yes its a lot of money for a bike if you're not going to use it off road for extreme biking but if this is your thing I'm sure you'll appreciate what a good bike and price this is.

yah this is not a cross country bike.

sky=ski obviously :P

The people who make daft comments about bike prices obviously don't do any sports that require specialist equipment.

Kite surfing requires several kites for different wind speeds costing up to about £800 each £350 for a control system and harness.

A decent canoe will cost £800 + paddle, helmet and buoyancy aid.

snow boarding £250 for board + 150 for bindings + £200 for boots, then 200-300 on clothes.

why do people always post like bikes are only used for riding to work.

some good deals on the site
I like the ladies Defy roadbike. 34% off:
Dash 2 Womens 2010 - Road Bike

slamdunkin, good point, reason is probably that bikes also have non-sport uses. not many people paddling down to work on their canoes (except during the floods maybe).
and a bike is fairly complicated compared to a snowboard for example, so if anything people should be surprised how cheap they are (normally).
plus there's a total lack of imagination about what can be done on a bike (or a canoe, or anything else..)

edit: paddling. you don't row a canoe, sorry.

hehe, o.k. thanks for the info.

Superb piece of kit for the money.

Quite a niche machine though, so check it suits your intended use and fits you before you buy!

I always smile when I see cyclist on very expensive machines, surely if they're such good cyclists, then they should be able to go anywhere, very quickly on some old heavy beast.

That said, I can appreciate nice engineering and the cost of things, so heat added.

But for a grand I'd buy an old Landrover thanks
