A Fantastic bike at a fantastic price.

Better than the standard hybrid Sirrus, Sport and Elite. The Comp is a big upgrade upon these. I called up Edinburgh Cycles today to purchase my own!

It is retailing at £800 at most other places, with the odd store selling it for £680. However Edinburgh Cycles are a fantastic company and also offer 0% finance if you need it!

You can always get the previous models cheaper.

Anyways the 2011 models notoriously had to be recalled, and this is quite a big upgrade the that model anyways. The SRAM crankset for starters.

That's what often makes buying the previous model a better option.

They were recalled (as were several other models) because of the brake bosses on the forks giving way under extreme pressure. The forks on existing models were replaced free of charge so I would double check first, but any models still on sale should have the fork issue resolved.

If it is not the European tax, all the bicycle made from Asia could be at least 30% cheaper.

Um no, if the only difference was it was called 2012 instead of 2011 then I would agree however it has totally different components. It's quite an improvement upon the 2011 model.

Just cos something is cheaper doesn't mean it's a better deal.

I didn't say it was the only difference. I just pointed out a cheaper option - which 2 forum users at least appreciated. I haven't actually said whether the 2011 option is better value.

Again not something I actually said.

I'm not dissing your post - I haven't actually commented on its heat either way.
