Apple sneaked in a little price increase yesterday. They were good enough to keep it to around 20%!

Yesterday's entry level Mac Mini cost £399. Now it's £479! A little Brexit proofing! I am sure amazing deals like this will be available from all manufacturers in the coming months!

No surprise from apple

Very sensible of them

The greedy gets, if there is one company that already charges enough to comfortably weather brexit its apple...

Saw a thing that Microsoft are raising the software prices by 13% which is small amount when some software costs thousands for a license. All because of the weak pound.

Heat for the research.

What apple seem to have done for the macs is given us the US prices but minus £50

It won't stop the isheep they could double the price and most would pay it...

The thing is though they are an American company and they will be making more money on British sales since the exchange rate is currently more in their favour than ours ever since brexit.

I'm sure the prices will plummet if Trump wins the election and the USD falls to pieces.. Or not.

Good good, I'm just trying to sell my Mac Mini so now I can quote more for it brand new

If only people had said this would happen before the referendum if we voted to leave.
Oh hang on. They did.

Haha, it will be like Bitcoin. People flogging macs they bought for a grand for several million pounds!

Can't remember prices going down when the £ was strong, all these companies are doing is profiteering

People voted to leave the EU despite the risk of price increases as other issues were deemed more important.

wow this going super cold

apple + price increase = cold

No, they won't. As an American company, £100 is currently worth $122 to them. When the markets thought Brexit wouldn't happen, £100 was worth $150 to them.

There's a difference in scale between the pound being strong and the pound being at a 31 year low.

31yr low...? Only to USD currency. And only because USD is strong, just because of this. When you take a look on euro-pound charts, it is not even close to 2008.... Apart of iShit stuff, what is more important to this country? USD or Euro? TV propaganda keep telling you trade with EU will collapse because pound is weak and REACH 30 YR LOW LEVEL... make me laugh. EU trade in euro not in usd. There is no 30yr lowest levels now.

Tax... Brexit my bottom!

Jolly nice of Apple.

That only applies to commercial licenses...at the moment

You're right. People voted to cut their nose off to spite their face because of casual racism and xenophobia.

As Stewart Lee said
A protest vote for UKIP is like sh##ting your hotel bed as a protest against bad service, then realising you now have to sleep in a sh##ted bed.

The Euro didn't exist 30 years ago and the pound is currently at its lowest rate ever against the Euro.

Ah the racism card!
The democratic vote; the UK spoke and your side lost. Stop spitting out your dummy and deal with it!

...and also against Chinese yuan, and TWD, and NZD, and SK won, and many, many others. That's especially impressive when you consider exactly how far the pound dropped in 2008.

Funnily enough, I've been watching the USD drop this year - just not against the pound. USD is certainly not at its strongest right now!

Well, not ever. But for last few years, yes. From last year USD is stronger then in 2003, don't mention about its weakness after crash in '07/'08.
Take a look on charts usd.vs.euro not vs.gbp because it is not a stable time right now. It is a peak, and it will stabilize sooner or later. There is no reason to panic, just be aware media wants you to panic, to think that everything will collapse, but it's stupid. UK gov. have to try very hard to **** up economy right now. Thing is, that this country needs more changes than brexit itself. Starting from cuting bennefits for lazy **** with 10+ kids.

Do you know what? I m tired of the two sides in the Brexit row taking childish pops at each other, you re both from the extremes of your beliefs. Most people are concerned with how will this affect my world, will leaving mean my job is at stake? will immigration be controlled, or will there be a compromise where we end up no better off?
listen up Remainders, there is going to be a withdrawal, of some sort from the EU and you have to hope that some of the good things will stay. Listen up Brexiters , you won by the narrowest of margins, so although you ll get your withdrawal from the EU, you have to acknowledge that almost half the country that voted doesn't agree with you. There will be compromise on our leave deal, and you ll have to accept it.
Remember, democracy does not cure division, and eventually we ve all got to be on the same side if we ve any hope of making this work.
Now stop this stupid point scoring, and let's find a way that everyone feels they are listened to.
I don't know if leaving is going to be a victory or a disaster, but I know the only way we get one, and deal with the other, is to find what unites us, not continually parade what divides us.

You are completely right! It is only time for changes. It's simple as that. Every year (hole picture) getting worst and worst. If the brexit won't help, so be it. At least this country finally try to do something else then for last 30 yr. Many other nations in EU waited too long and now they cannot run away, EU destroy their economy so much that they are have to depend on EU monster.

Have you seen the price of dummies since the vote? I can't afford to spit one out. Anyway a dirty foreiger might steal it.

I just hoped that Apple would be reasonable with the pricing for the iPhone 7 and its 3 year old design.
In addition to the fact they pay 0.5% tax through Ireland for U.K. Sales.
But no, "Brexit" has made them increase prices even after acknowledging that the phones cost between $200 - $270 to make.
At what point did we become mindless zombies after knowing all this yet we still go out out way to purchase there goods.
Blind allegiances sworn to brands......sad times.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have truly become........ The Walking Dead

Dude seriously? I enjoy living my life as a mindless drone (sports, Netflix, Hollywood, saving up for exspensive **** I don't need and other mindless crap that takes my mind off how [email protected] up this world truly is). Being stuck in this cycle helps me sleep at night. Although you did strike a nerve, it will b same old story - have a moment of clarity and then repeat same old "mindless Zombie" life.
