PLEASE READ:

This is more of a "heads up" or should I say a check your Nectar email address "deal". Im not trying to make this out to be anything it isn't, but it's a free £5 to spend in Argos (if you get the email). If you spend a minimum of 500 points, which is £2.50, they will refund you 1000 points, which is worth £5. So you could spend 1000 points (£5) and get it back on your Nectar points total by next month.

Check your emails anyway

* Terms and conditions

2. Offer valid between Monday 8 December and Wednesday 24 December 2014 (the "Offer Period").
3. To qualify for this offer you must: i. Click the 'Shop now' button, and ii. Make a redemption at Argos by redeeming at least 500 Nectar points with Argos during the Offer Period.
4. Qualifying Collectors will receive 1,000 points back into their account by Wednesday 28 January 2014.
5. This Offer applies only to the first Argos redemption of 500 points or more made during the Offer Period.

That's going to be a neat trick

I got this! Will be using it tomorrow. Heat!

I received this email too. I plan on grabbing myself an amiibo for smash bros on the wii u, I can't refuse at the eventual final price of £5.99.

Great find thanks I got the email too

yep got the email

From toys to tablets, Argos is full of great last-minute gift ideas! And if you spend a minimum of 500 Nectar points at Argos between now and 24 December 2014, we'll give you 1,000 Nectar points back as a Christmas treat!

So pop along to your local Argos store before it's too late!

Doesn't nectar points take 35days or more to credit back into you're account

got the email too

reserved the Jamie Oliver funky knife set for store collection

Thanks OP, checked my email and got the offer

Thank you, just found the email in my inbox, will try to get my points up to 1000 soon (928 currently) and see what I can get for that (do realise you only need to spend minimum of 500 though).

1000 is max back right? Can you pay part points part card or only one or the other?

i didnt get the email :(. but heat added

heat added, normally delete emails from nectar without reading. Went to Trash folder and it seems like a great 'deal'. Thanks for the heads up OP!

To be clear, is the OP telling people about an email that they have received that contains all these details; and everyone else that have not got the email are not eligible? If this is right, I really don't see why this should be posted on hotukdeals! Do people need to be told via hotukdeals that they have an email?

Got the email:D
Thankyou

So it's basically a free £2.50? Spend £2.50 worth of points and get £5 worth back?

Yes, you're right (*hands back Maths A-Level in shame*)

Have the emails gone out? And are they from Nectar or Argos?

Mine arrived from a "nectaronline" email address last night.

This thread should have been hotter than the amazon one as you're making a profit of £2.50

No such email? I got an email for double points, doesn't sound the same though?

Got same email last night, although I thought after the Asda Xbox/Kinect fiasco wasn't sure if it was one of those too good to be true offers

Given the chances of Argos actually selling something worthwhile for £2.50, you might be better exchanging 1000 points for a £5 item "for free" and get the 1000 points back in January.
Remember you've got to exchange at least 500 points, which means something for £2.49 isn't going to cut it, it's got to be £2.50+

Which is what I said in the opening line. No getting past you, eh?

Thanks for the post. I wouldn't have noticed the email otherwise.

I opt out of receiving emails from them - is there anyway of checking on account online?

I think you meant Riposte or Retort

Yep, I've had the email

What can I buy for the £2.50 mark? I don't really need anything but the extra point wouldn't go amiss.

Thanks for the heads up

Thanks

Admittedly i needed them as just moved into a new place, but 4 x tumblers, wine glasses etc are usually around the £2 mark - used these to push a forty something quid up to over £50 to get a £5 voucher from them
