Synopsis: From director Sam Raimi came the event movie of 2002, Spider-Man, starring Toby Maguire as Peter Parker, an average student who suddenly finds himself with the powers of a spider. Whilst on a student visit to a science lab Peter accidentally gets bitten by a genetically modified spider, thinking nothing of it at first he suddenly begins to go through strange changes, he gets stronger, faster and can climb walls, spin webs and even sense danger before it happens. At first he uses his new powers for his own gain, but after a tragic event he decides that they should be used for the greater good and sets about creating his alter ego, Spider-Man. Though his newly found gifts don't seem to be any help with his greatest problem, his love for girl next door, Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) who only sees him as a friend and is more interested in trying to make it in the big city as an actor.

Just as Peter is beginning to get the hang of being Spider-Man a villain of equal power emerges, The Green Goblin(Willem Defoe). Determined to bring chaos and disorder to the city the Goblin must be stopped at any costs, though when he discovers Spider-Mans weakness for Mary Jane things begin to get really difficult for Peter.

Spiderman 2: Two years have passed, and the mild-mannered Peter Parker faces new challenges as he struggles with "the gift and the curse," desperately trying to balance his dual identities as the web-slinging superhero Spider-Man and his life as a college student. Tormented by his secrets, Peter finds that his relationships with all those he holds dear are in danger of unraveling. His life-long yearning for M.J. (Kirsten Dunst) becomes even stronger as he fights the impulse to reveal his secret life and declare his love. His friendship with Harry Osborn (James Franco) is complicated by the young Osborn's bitterness over his father's death and his growing vendetta against Spider-Man. Even Peter's beloved Aunt May (Rosemary Harris), who has fallen on hard times after the death of Uncle Ben, begins to have doubts about her nephew.

I was in Virgin at the weekend and they are selling both Spiderman 1 & 2 (separately) 2 disc editions for £2.99 each.

So if you think about it, with this deal of the box set for £7.99 you are paying £2.01 for a cardboard box to hold them in.

Just a thought.

Well actually you would be paying £2.01 for delivery and the cardboard box

But if you don't go to "real life shops" (quote from ]ThePennyPincher) then it would prob cost you more than £2.01 on parking, petrol or bus etc..

:-D

Here's a thought, why not try some "real life exercise" [email protected]?
Seeing as you are going to spend the next 5 plus hours watching DVD's you may like to get out and WALK to the shop!

Maybe you could use the £2.01 for some sweeties!! :-D

hahaha, i was refering to TPP, at no point was i implying that i was too lazy to walk to the shop!

However in saying that, the Virgin Megastores in the closest (big) town to me closed down so i coulnt get it anyway so lol

Here's an even better thought.

Just buy "Spiderman" at virgin for £2.99 and save a FIVER!!! the second one is rubbish anyway

Even better, wait for it to show on the telly and then just tape it
