In Spider-Man: Far From Home, Tom Holland returns as our friendly neighbourhood Super Hero who, following the events of Avengers: Endgame, must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever. The film expands the Spider-Man film universe, taking Peter Parker out of his comfort zone and his home in Queens, New York City, and hurling him across Europe during what was supposed to be a school holiday – but which becomes his greatest challenge and most epic adventure ever.

Can't understand the cold votes unless this can be bought cheaper elsewhere? Even if you don't like the 3D versions it is the same price as the standalone blu ray so you could just give it to someone who has a 3D collection.

Includes the 2D blu-ray and it's the same price. So 3D blu-ray disc for nothing. Nice. Think I'll wait till it's a bit cheaper though. Not the best Spider-Man film but I'll want it in my collection eventually.
Are people still bothered about 3D? I thought enthusiasm for that format died already.
Pre-ordered this when it was £13.99 and still very much enjoy the dwindling releases of 3D blu rays.

Yes, I only buy the 3d ones, otherwise just wait for streaming
Good price for new 3d release but awful movie

For 3D fans the format is still alive and kicking. Certain countries have let it die a bit (US) but recent 3D releases have been incredible, especially any of the MCU movies, Toy Story 4, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Aquaman, How To Train Your Dragon 3.

I'd rather watch any of them in 3D rather than 4K any day of the week

I didn't enjoy it either. Don't understand all the positive reviews. Homecoming was much better.

Madness home coming was awful, this was actually decent & Jake Gylenhall played just part well.,

Great find OP
I love these films. I think they have the tone spot on.

Gotta disagree there. Homecoming was fresh and had attitude. All that zing was lost here. The plot was an excuse to film in as many places around the world as possible. The humour fell flat too.

Mysterio was a much better villain than Micheal Keaton’s winged thing.

The visuals in this movie were great and like I said Jake Gylenhall and Tom Holland stole their scenes.

You got to remember this movie had no Robert Downey Jnr yet managed to punch above it’s predecessor weight.

Just my opinion

Just gonna thrown my tuppence in as well.

I think Homecoming was good but not great, and Far From Home certainly wasn't better. They just seems a bit generic, and nothing special. The special effects were a good standard but I'd rather see more practical effects like they did in the Garfield films. They still used CGI but some parts were practical and looked good because of it.

As for the Worldly plot, I agree. I want a friendly neighbourhood Spider-man, not a globetrotter, but at least it's different to the past 5 films. BUT I don't think they actually filmed on location, did they? I think some, if not all of it, was CGI. I remember Fantastic Four (original) and one of the Harry Potter films made comment that it looked like they were travelling the world and it was just green screen.

Michael Keaton's villain was ok. Good twist, well acted, balanced and logical in my eyes. Same as Mysterio. But I still think the films are just lacking that charm.

I’m also going to say the Joker was a good movie, solid 8/10 but was it actually a joker movie with the amount of changes made to the original concept.

If it wasn’t for Phoenix, Baldwin & De Niro then it would have been just an average movie about a deluded sociopath.

It’s being hailed the best R rated comic movie, I’d honestly say Logan was better then the Joker.

Maybe because it just was want the fans wanted and Marvel decided to let the wolverine loose with his adamantium claws.

I rate Joker as a 9/10. As a film piece, it was great. As an ORIGIN story for Joker, I also thought it was great, but I do get the criticisms. He's vulnerable in the first half, and he's not a master criminal that people expect BUT this is his origin, and I'd say the film ends with him on a path to becoming a chaos-loving, worthy adversary for Batman.

Logan was good. Both different. Can't really have a definite answer, it's personal taste. A film being better doesn't always mean you'll enjoy it more. Kick-Ass isn't a great film, far from it, but I loved it the first time I saw it, and still enjoy watching it (not that I watch it that often. It's just an example of enjoyment v film quality/rating).

p.s. Baldwin?

Alec Baldwin - I thought he was Thomas Wayne, got that wrong, Brett Cullen looks like Baldwin haha.

Yeah agree with most your points about Joker I just thought it was a bit silly to insinuate that Thomas Wayne was his dad, however it was never verified for definite in the movie, there was another hints to suggest this was true.

Logan was brilliant in my eyes because it just showed the vulnerabilities of Logan and Xavier. Tbf I remember leaving the cinema thinking it was a great end to Hugh Jackman’s, albeit a sad end but it left a legacy behind.

I love kick ass haha, Nicholas Cage is great in that movie!

Can we all agree that Endgame sucked?

Confused me then, because I didn't think he was in it, but he apparently was supposed to be, and they do look alike.

It was a weird but it was just building on the delusions of characters. This said, there was a photograph which potentially contradicted it being a delusion, so that confused me.

Logan was great. And the Xavier story was too, BUT I didn't like the main villain/fight being basically a clone, it seemed a bit lazy. Still a solid movie. To be honest, Logan is a 9/10 as a film, Joker is a 10/10, but it was a great end to the story.

Glad I'm not alone loving Kick-Ass. Sure I've got the costume somewhere!

Sorry, I disagree with you there. I enjoyed Endgame. Could have been a lot worse and they nailed it. 8/10 from me. 8.5 for Infinity War.
It's nice to debate films and discuss points, interpretations and preferences for design and story choices. Far better than falling out
