2.4A is pretty much the limit for 5V devices as that’s what the cables are designed for, so no they shouldn’t. This is based off the micro USB devices. The 3A devices are usually USB C ones and I can’t think of any devices that take 4A.

Why are Spigen cutting prices on all their electronics? They haven't sold out have they? Some good bargains here but the brand is meant to be high-end and just a bit of a concern as this is much cheaper than you'd expect.

Agree, there’s been some really cheap deals. Maybe they’re just clearing out their older tech for newer coming in.

That's exactly it 3a plus is usb c and what you should be aiming for when long term purchase. If you want a 2.4a charger with multi ports it's not worth such a high price.

The cables work fine on 3a plus. As cable is pretty much the same just different connectors on majority of them.
Voted hot, this is a bargain considering the brand.

No it isn’t. Current is what determines the gauge of the cable and how much energy it can transfer. Most micro USB devices are 2.4 or 2.1A max which is probably when this was designed. Very few micro USB devices support 3A charge rate.
Would this work for a couple of Raspberry Pi’s?
Does it support fast charging for s10 plus?
Are these supposed to be fast charging? I bought an Anker one that was posted on here a week or so ago, that was 40w or so. It certainly doesn't register as fast charging when my S10+ is connected to it. I'm guessing I wrongly assumed that with it being 40w , my Samsung charger is 25w, that it would at least be the same or faster.

Volt out 5 divide in to Watts ie 40 equals
8 amps then divide by the amount of ports say 4 you have 2amps per port

Probably clearing cheap as Amazon FBA long term storage fees could be kicking in. Lots of sellers do this just before the higher fees kick

Fast charging on an S10+ needs a 40W USB PD charger with the correct cables or something that supports Adaptive Fast Charge (eg with voltage above the 5V norm).

Just wondering, is there anything that's faster than what this one offers?

No. It’ll just charge at the ‘faster’ rate than basic 1A charging. Get something like this for full speed:

Spigen SteadiBoost PD Wall Charger, USB C Charger, 27W, iP Tech, USB C Charger for Fast Charge Compatible with iPhone, iPad, Galaxy and Galaxy Tab amazon.co.uk/dp/…4YG

No, you need PD for apple devices. Samsung needs qualcomm QC 2.0 at least. There are some nice cheap QC 3.0 4 port chargers on ebay at just under £6 delivered that are CE approved. QC (quick charge) uses higher voltages upto 12v to do fast charging. This charger doesn't support either standard for fast charging.

I said PD or Samsung AFC - both will be fine. Wouldn’t trust anything on eBay for under £6 unless you don’t care about your devices... I said PD because everything going forward is heading that way.

Very few devices currently support USB-PD and I would expect that most people are buying to charge a current device and not a future device. QC 4 will see things merging and should support PD as well.

All I'm saying is check what your device needs if you want fast charging before buying.

S10 series will do PD fast charging or using Samsung AFC which is compatible with QC 3.0. Buying a PD charger is the most compatible thing right now, if people want to buy a proprietary standard that’s up to them, but PD chargers will achieve ‘fast charging’.

Wash your hands carefully after opening any parcel and wipe down your products with good disinfectant wipe, then wash hands again. Avoid touching face especially eyes. Should help protect you. They actually aren't sure of transmission or length of virus life, so being over cautious is better. Alcohol wont always kill virus but will disrupt. Washing is better but mainly cos it washes it away, so rinse your sink and showers well.

LOL paranoid much? It only survives a couple hours on surfaces and a proper alolchol cleaner /hand soap will kill the virus. How do you think they are cleaning areas infected and also how are hospital staff managing?

I think when they say 40watts, they mean 10 watts in each port 10x4. I think its a marketing thing. So 10 watts is the maximum. I could be wrong....

It’s hardly multiple is it, 8% of all reviews. People mention that they believed they were buying a fast charger due to the wording.

Not sure what you expect or why you feel the need to highlight such a small percentage. People can read for themselves.

Are you able to find or post another branded 4 port charger for £6.99 with as many positive reviews?

Thanks for your input anyway.
Cheap cables also affect charging speeds that could explain the few negative reviews

Mine just rocked up. Nicely solid. It's isn't a fast charger.... So it's next to my bed, for charging up stuff overnight. Supposedly better for the battery long term anyway. 2 year warranty and a solid build makes it worth the 7 quid for me. 2.4amps is generally quick enough for most purposes. My note 9 generally takes an hour on my fast charger, its 2 on this. I've had my share of cheap aliexpress chargers that run hot for 3 months then stop working.

I like it.

Nope, they admit they don't know hope it spreads or how long it lives. I work in an acute hospital and have contact with Italian colleagues in affected areas. Can u say the same? Make your choices and stay safe.
