Great deal and I was interested in this, but really disappointed to see it doesn’t have a local, split-screen multiplayer option. This would be a perfect game to play together, but apparently we need a second switch and copy of the game to do so.

Sounds like they trying to push additional switch, game and online service! Do you know if Splatoon 2 has local split screen with just one switch?

Does this have local/wireless multiplayer? Or was it the previous version that did?

Does support local but each player need a game.

Bought this for son for Christmas. Don't know how they can justify these sequels. The first was quite good and something a bit different but I feel there has been no progression at all in these sequels. Feels like the difference between a new fifa or something.

There's a pretty sizeable new single player campaign in this one and a bunch of new gameplay mechanics that won't work in the old game. And the online has a new full time coop mode against the CPU (I think previously it was a special event). Reviews I've watched do say it's a worthy sequel.

Wouldn't recommend without nintendo online. Sinlge player is fine but not long enough to spend £10 on forget £30, its just a long tutorial.

But if you do have online then its great, splatfest either this weekend or next should be good fun.

But try the tutorial/single player first get used to some weapons and gameplay mechanics then give multiplayer a go.

We have PvE and PvP, too. Salmon run at the start is fine, but lousy team mates later can make it a lot harder
