Sports Sunglasses £1.00 @ Poundland

I should think these are in the majority of poundland stores. They are simply great, build quality is good, ear hooks have rubber/ plastic for grip and flex, nose piece is rubber with holes for breathability and the lenses are orange type reflective with a UV protection of 3, ideal for strong sunlight!

They look pretty stylish and wouldn't break the bank if you sit on them, lose them, drop them etc. etc.
Hot!

Still cheaper than breaking a pair of Oakley's :P

can they have any Rayban written on it

Would anybody really trust their eyesight to junk like this?? Voted cold.

I got my niece a pair of tortoiseshell "Jackie O" style sunglasses from Poundland (took all the incriminating tags off it) and she loved them. They actually looked very decent. Given that she's still at school and loses things/is careless it was the best option.

I'll have a look out for these for my boyf. Poundland's sunglasses selection tends not to have any options for men, but hopefully they'll get more in.

Banned

got a free pair of ray bans with their bog roll

3 isn't even an EU rating for UV protection, they are 0, 2, 6 and 7. Have they assumed that being 50% more than 2 is 3? Guess they could be Australian which has 1 - 4 rating system.

Did you not go outside today?!

Chick magnet.

UV rating 3.....? what is that?? I always thought it was 100% UV or not? these sound like not. wearing junk sunglasses like these is worse than none at all - since the tint opens up your pupils more = more nasty UV! your really best squinting like Columbo!

Does anyone know if its a nationwide Poundland stores?

what utter crap how much are you eye's worth?

3 refers to category 3 - shadestation.co.uk/len…tml
Have bought these before and ok for cycling. will buy some more as basically they are disposable. decent enough quality and no obvious optical distortion

Don't wear for cycling unless externally certified - if you come off you may end up with a shard of plastic through your eye! Ouch

To all those saying what are your eyes worth/better off not wearing any sunglasses, then you obviously haven't a clue as to what you're talking about. Lenses are rated from 0-4, 4 being the highest uv protection, thus, these glasses, rated at 3, offer great protection from the UV rays. Oh and also, ever heard of the CE mark? no? well this product complies with EU safety legislation, so buying these, although cheap, they have the same safety standard thus required by the law.

how much is good grammar worth?

These will keep me going till I find a decent pair that I like! For £1 you really can't go wrong. If it's crap, I'll leave it on the bus for the next stranger to value that's in need for a new pair of sunglasses. You'd be surprised, leave anything unattended and it'll be taken. Thanks OP, good find, heat added.

Sounds like you live in a right hell hole! I live in the lowest crime area in the country, it's a nice feeling.

Bought a similar pair from poundland in Sheffield the other day, only to find it had a sticker saying VUA 400 Protection on it - Won't be wearing them in the sun!

buy glasses for one day in the year

You'd risk going blind by wearing these? No thanks I value my eyes and so will happily spend a lot more and so should you.
