Verified as working just now as I bought a 1 month code to test. Used Ivacy VPN to connect to Egypt and created a new account with a spare gmail. Logged in and went to "Redeem" and the code worked fine and gave me a month of premium.

Turned off the VPN to test to see if it would still play normally in the UK and it did.

    you can transfer music by paying for this playlist transfer service 'freeyourmusic'. I use them for moving playlists and albums from one music streaming app to another. they are very reliable.

    Switched to Tidal for the £1 a month deal for the full family plan. I actually prefer it to Spotify.

    I like Tidal as it's more focused towards music and album recommendations. Spotify seems awfully keen on Podcasts lately, and music-wise seems to favour playlists over albums (nothing against either BTW, I consume both. But I prefer albums to playlists and like a music app to focus on music!).

    If Tidal Connect was as widely implemented as Spotify Connect then I'd likely have little to no use for Spotify. But Spotify Connect is seemingly everywhere and it's just so handy.

    I should say, I pay £1.70(ish) a month for Tidal as signed up to the Argentinian site. That's a pretty big part in my preference too! (edited)

    only vpn can spoof it. I've got ivacy vpn, got to check out and I think it's genuine but I still got YouTube premium active until August. I think I'll wait until I finish with Google . then I can purchase one

    Every time I try and create an account using my VPN Spotify says VPN detected and won’t let me proceed until it’s deactivated. Would a different VPN help with this.

    also I think Spotify has an ‘impossible travel’ detection doesn’t it? Where if you suddenly play from Egypt via VPN and then play from U.K. 5 mins later it gets detected as impossible travel and shut down some while later. The advice used to be leave it 24 hours between the first play of VPN being deactivated (edited)

    Try creating the account without the VPN. Then log in with VPN on and change the region.

    heads up, this does get cancelled within months. spotify have way better protection systems compared to netflix. you could get banned in a month in which case it's 27.54 for a month, or you may get away for a few months bringing it down to under a tenner a month.

    People recommending tidal.. it’s pretty good but it’s not flawless. The interface is so bad and you cannot search for custom playlists what other users have made. That’s the beauty of Spotify for me compared to Tidal. Even though better sound quality obviously! It’s a love hate relationship with both apps.

    Just sorted a 6 month code and applied to a brand new Spotify account.

    Used the Gmail 'trick' of adding +egy after my user name to keep track of it.

    I've been using a French account for the last 6 months with no issues, but it's now expired so jumped on this deal. (edited)

    I don't think it can be done on an existing UK account. I made another account for Egypt and used the code no problem.

    Be wary that although using a VPN to get cheap Spotify codes does work and will initially play... Spotify do monitor where you are logging in from and have started clamping down on this.

    I previously bought codes for Premium twice and both times I've been logged out after 30ish days with a notification that I can only play outside of my (home) country for up to the 30 days. When I've logged back in, Premium has been removed.

    These are a fantastic deal if you're lucky enough not to get caught out on this

    With this stupid new comments system, I have no idea where this will end up but here's a tip if you have to, or want to, create a new account for this.

    To "seed" your "Discover Weekly" playlist in double quick time, create a new temporary playlist and call it whatever you like. Then go in to each play list you have, select every track and add them to this temporary playlist. Keep doing it until you have a solid 500+ songs in it, but keep going if you want to.

    Then before you go to bed, set this playlist to play (with the volume turned down obviously!) and leave it until the morning. Do this for about a week, every night and the algorithm will learn what you like a lot quicker.

    Yeah I have YouTube Premium with Music for 88p a month. Music is OK, it's maxed at 160kbps I think. You can pretty much find any track you want.

    Thanks, mine was set to high, would be handy if the app told you what high meant. If its the equivalent of 320 then it's very good indeed. Seem to find any song I want on it.

    If you take the plunge and get it working one way I found of transferring playlists across was to open both spotify accounts on a PC in separate incognito web browsers and drag them across.

    I used the ‘CyperGhost’ VPN which provided me with 24hours access to an Egyptian server. I’m now listening to Hot Hits Egypt. It’s actually a nice change to not hear familiar artists! I’ll be turning the VPN off and back to the good old British Isles shortly though. Haha

    My phone is my life, like most peoples now day. I haven’t had any issues and not heard of any. But I’m sure some people have encountered problems. Spoofing on ipogo was my main draw to it

    Got this to activate. Egypt isn't a common VPN offering (NordVPN doesn'thave it). Went with a trial of IVACY. Had to go with a new account too as my premium had not expired. Good deal all the same, but quite an overhead if your current vpn doesn't support it. Heat from me
