Spotify Premium £1.99 for 2 months, both existing and new customers (PSN Account)

Found 3rd Mar 2016
So I have recently ran out of spotify premium from the last deal 99p for 3 months, and whilst it's not the cheapest deal for spotify premium ever it is still good enough for £1.99 as buying it directly from spotify is £9.99 a month. Another advantage is that it is available for both new and existing customers.
All you have to do is go through 'get deal' and although it is spotify US it will work at the end. You only have to link your PSN account with spotify, if you don't have a PSN account that's no problem at all, just create one for free, that'll take you 1 minute. After that you will automatically see the options for selecting the country, I selected United Kingdom and price automatically converted from $2.00 for 2 months to £1.99 for 2 months. After payment you can enjoy premium features without any struggle for 2 months, just don't forget to cancel before otherwise you will be billed £9.99 after 2 months.

You can also use the UK link (now?)

To cancel automatic renewal (via console)

6. Cancel Automatic Renewal
7. Done! Enjoy your 2 months.

It worked for me perfectly, all spotify premium features are now reinstated on my account and playlists resynced to offline mode (this alone will save me a fortune over 2 months in terms of data that spotify uses when listening online).

What is PSN? Sorry to be thick

It worked perfectly for me, try and go through this https://www.groupon.com/coupons/stores/spotify.com
Where it says Free Spotify Premium for 2 months (Ignore the free bit) and press see sale and then shop now.
Worked for me + I didn't had PSN account so created one as well.

Here's the proof

I was thinking about sticking to the free version, but guess what, I can't even play the music on my phone in the sequence that I want it to be played without premium version. On top of that if used in online mode it just soaks data up, and for someone that has 2gb data allowance per month this is something that is really useful for me.

No luck. Tried to go through the link, and then through Groupon.
Coming as £9.99...
maybe cause I had a trial before through PSN?

Its not working for me after going through to my psn account its saying subscribe for 9.99.

Anyone know why its showing up at 9.99 for me, followed everyone's tips above with no change! been waiting for a deal like this!

I just stream random stuff, not bothered about any order. Having unlimited data allowance on the phone helps.

I actually like being forced to listen to things in random order...it has helped me discover no end of new music!

Oh...and a useful way to get around the 6 skip limitation is to just click back and forth between playlists. The songs are always randomised, so it is effectively the same as skipping tracks.

Thanks OP, worked for me. Now how do I cancel it so I don't get charged full price when I forget about it?

The jumping from one play list to another is a useful tip. Discovered it a while ago, no need to limit your listening choices.

The cancellation should be done through your PSN account I believe as it's not a direct spotify subscription, but the promo that PSN does instead in partnership with them. Supposedly it should only work on PS3 and PS4 + Xperia devices, but it works perfectly on PC and on my iPhone.

Same as that.

9.99 for me

I like the sound of the deal but I don't really trust Spotify as I've signed up for it at a super-cheap rate before only to discover they've charged me the full rate instead of the figure quoted on screen when I hit the "pay" button. Of course I've had a Spotify trial (and happily paid to use it for a bit) before so they give the "Deal is only for new customers" response (the small print being displayed at the basement HQ behind a door with a poster saying "beware of the tiger"... probably), but then you get offers like these which the OP says are for new and old customers, but seeing how many people have been charged £10 here do I really want to take the risk?

Plus on top of that I've had problems with PSN lately (bought the new Walking Dead storygame, paid my money, hit download, no response. It worked three days later but again, not a good sign), so we have to rely on two poor companies working together...

I don't think that those particular users have been charged £9.99 if stated as £1.99, I think what they meant is that it comes up as £9.99 instead of £1.99. I don't know why for some people it does work (having worked for me too yesterday) and for some it doesn't.
All I can say is that I went through the groupon originally, clicked the button to link my spotify account with PSN account (as I didn't had PSN account I quickly created one, I put my correct address and changed the country from US to UK as well, then hit the register). I didn't even had to activate PSN account, I just pressed the button to link them and next thing I've done is proceeded to payment. £1.99 have now been processed in my bank account and I can enjoy all of the premium features without any problems.
Someone had mentioned that they had trial through PSN before, so that might well be the issue preventing from getting this deal.

Same issue for me:

"Sorry, there was an error when trying to load the content. Please reload this page and try again."

Anyone know how to get around this? Possibly go through spotify on the ps4/ps3 device itself?

I keep getting "Sorry, an error has occurred" after I login. Have tried from my phone, my laptop etc.

Ok, worked for me. I had to put my (tablet) chrome browser into 'request desktop mode' to get the offer displayed in Groupon.

Won't be renewing at a tenner a month (I've set the cancellation reminder in my calendar already) but I'll enjoy the cheap price whilst it lasts.

worked perfectly using tunelbear vpn. thanks

Showing as £1.99 for me, but after clicking 'Order & Pay' it doesn't progress to any further confirmation screen. It stays on the 'Order & Pay' screen.

The transaction history on my newly created PSN account shows each time I've pressed 'Order & Pay' as a transaction of £0.00 but listed as 'Missed Charges'. I've tried with both a credit card and paypal account.

I created a PSN a/c just to try this... Once I linked my Spotify a/c with my PSN a/c, the price I am given is £9.99 per month.

If you've ever had a free trial of premium, I don't think this will work for you.

Thanks for posting, good deal for those who can get it.

Worked for me via groupon had to use incognito mode.

Cheers for sharing all of this. Forgot to mention that I had my AdBlock off whilst purchasing this as well so that might be one issue too. As far as I am aware people who already had trial spotify premium through PSN account won't be able to benefit from this. Now, you can actually unlink your PSN account from spotify if this was ever linked, and create a new PSN account using a different email as that will take you just a minute + you don't have to activate that PSN account. Then re-link accounts using a new PSN account and try this offer again.

So originally I posted saying i was getting "Sorry an error has occurred...". This happened after i linked my spotify account to the PSN.

I thought this could be because i currently have an active premium Spotify account which is going to have the 9.99 renewal in mid march.

I decided to cancel it (will still be able to use premium until mid march). Tried it buy again for £1.99 and still still the same error...

Didn't work. Tried incognito and even Edge (Windows 10). Doesn't pass the 'Order & Pay' screen, but is being recorded as failed purchases. Tried credit card, debit card and paypal. Same result. I can even see I have £0.10 pending on my credit card.
Edited by: "W1zz" 4th Mar 2016

I can't get it. I click on the link etc, asks me to login with my PSN account, I login, and then it says "Sorry, there was an error when trying to load the content. Please reload this page and try again." on a pop-up window. And there's no where to pay, or click something to proceed with the offer....
