Spotify Premium free for 3 months (New users)

Found 3rd Jan 2015
I did a search and this seems to have been last posted just over a month ago, but I only just noticed there was a loophole where the link it takes you through is generic. So I thought I would share it with all! And I know some people missed out on the deal a few days ago for 99p for 3 months, so even better for them!

This is for new accounts, but it doesn't take more than 5 minutes to make a new account if you've previously had premium, and you can easily transfer playlists over. Hopefully this can help people out!

This offer ends on the 31st January 2016

Have you had spotify before? or were you logged in? Should go straight through if you haven't. Haven't been told of any problems from anyone I've gave the link to earlier.

Any way to share your playlists from Spotify with another user, therefore helping to create a new account and using the old playlists from your other account? Cheers OP

Hi, I just had a little check. If you go on your current playlists you should see a button which is 3 dots. Once you've clicked this it will give you the options to share the playlist via social networks, you can copy the playlists or you can also send it to friends already on Spotify. There is also the option to make it public, so there seems to be a few different options available to share playlists and also make the transition to a new account straight forward.

Hope this is of some help.

Thanks. Also, it looks like you'll have to set a reminder to cancel the premium account before the renewal as cancelling now turns it into a free account. I thought you could cancel the auto renewal but keep the 3 months free but their FAQ doesn't appear to agree.

Does it say when they updated the terms and conditions? I had no problem when I did it in the last few weeks. I did it straight away. Seems like the changed it in the hope of people forgetting if that's the case.

Haha, agreed!
The last time I tried a trial on my tablet for free premium (7 days) last month I tried an old posted date trick to see if back dating the devices date by several years after signing up for a trial made a difference to premium days remaining, and it did.

Signed up at the correct current date, reversed the devices date 10 years or so, restarted device & Spotify and premium days remaining went up to over 3500 days according to the app!. Never tested it beyond the 7 days to see if it still worked as I had to correct the date for other apps etc that needed the correct date. But the date trick may well still work if you have a device or spare device that doesn't really need the correct date!.
Can you stack Spotify Premium eg. Claim the 90 Days on Chromecast then this offer?

That's good! I'll have to look in to that later.

Thanks for bringing that up.

I don't think you can stack with Spotify. I tried having a look, but couldn't see anything. This is also the chromecast offer anyway. It seems to be a generic Web address, meaning no code is generated meaning anyone should be able to use this offer.
Thanks so much! Finally switched back from the god-awful in comparison Play Music - still got two free months on that but this is just so much better...
Ive had Spotify before and it worked for me, I think deezer are doing the same deal
Big thanks...
signed up & have 3 months free
Thanks Corey
Thanks Corey never used Spotify before (don't really understand it if I'm honest), but this seems like the ideal opportunity to try it!
Is this a USA only offer. Its asking for a zip code when I goto the link and without one you can't proceed?

This is definitely a UK offer. Not sure how you're ending up there. I just had a little check, and the link on here takes you to the UK site of Spotify. So that's rather strange.

I don't think you can bypass that without giving card details.
With all these free trials its a wonder if some people ever pay for their subscription, with the 99p Spotify early adopters soon to see their subscription expire this will come in handy to extend it for another three months, by the time thats up Deezer will probably throw out another free trial.. If you're unbiased you can end up saving alot of moolah. Lol.

For the record I'm a paying Spotify subscriber.
Will give this a go later today.. I'm guessing I'd need to log out and delete spotify from my laptop and do it as fresh download then ?

You should be fine just logging out and then logging back in with the new account details, just make sure you've saved your playlists if you wish to move them over to the new account.
Good deal, I didn't realise they gave spotify for free on 3 months trials as I paid 99p for a 3 month trial the other week which I thought was good value for money.

Do spotify ever do deals for existing customers or is it a case of you have to create a new account each time to tske advantage of an offer?

Yeah, I took that exact same deal up originally. It's still good value either way. I haven't noticed any deals for existing customers apart from the occasional come back deal which I think was 9.99 for 3 months, or the student offer of 4.99 a month. It seems that there are rarely deals for existing customers, but rather focused on new customers sadly.

A bit like sky then with mainly all deals for new customers only.

I signed up mainly with selling my hifi system and buying a sonos play 1 speaker so least I've got tons of music at the touch of a button

How can you cancel auto-renewal?

I managed to cancel it straight away by going on to my account and cancelling it under subscription straight away when I started it, but some people on here have said that there has been changes made to the Terms and Conditions meaning if you cancel it now so it doesn't auto renew, it changes it in to a free account instead. The best thing I would recommend is to put a reminder on your phone or similar to remind you to cancel maybe a day or two before it is to renew. A bit of a pain really, but I guess to them they hope that some people will then forget to cancel after the trial.

Haha, Upon, writing my comment, I've setup Google Now reminder on my phone just a day before. Thanks!
Excellent thanks OP.
Thanks for this. I missed the previous 99p offer so this is great!

Ah, brilliant! I wasn't sure if you could still cancel straight away from what I had heard some previous people say. Glad that is worked for you.
