Spotify very recently ditched NUS for UNiDAYS. You can no longer get a half price Spotify subscription from NUS, but if you have a UNiDAYS account, you can get it from them now.

Or if there's a group of you go for Spotify Family where up to 6 people can all use 1 account for £14.99/month
I find this the best value. Just make sure you are all 'at' the same address.
Are you sure they've stopped doing NUS? Maybe just for new users?

Taken from my account just now:

"Your plan will automatically renew on 9/15/17and you'll be charged £4.99"
is this better than apple music? My only issue is all my music currently in on apple music. Just seems effort??
I was always against signing up, but did sign up to spotify under the NUS discount. Ive used it loads since especially in the gym on my phone and also in the car.

To be able to park up outside and just choose some playlists to download via wifi straight into the head unit rather then put on a usb stick or anything else makes it worth while alone.

Could you tell me if multi users can listen to their music at the same time on different devices with the spotify family? (as is not the case with the student one.
When did Spotify ditch NUS? I haven't heard anything and I have student membership for £4.99 a month from getting a NUS card on here

Yes, basically become 6 individual accounts but 1 primary account holder has control over all the other 5. So if 1 person agrees to set up the payment, I'd advise that that person is the primary account holder. You invite your 5 'relatives' who all live at the same address as you, they accept their invitations & voila - 6 premium accounts. You make sure they cough up the £2.50 per month - worst case scenario you need to cancel account with 1 months notice? So max £14.99 risk.

Thanks for the info claire, essentially - when my fee's go back up to full price (£9.99) I'd be happy to "gift" 5 of my close friends/family for the extra £5 per month.

Yes they have stopped doing NUS discount but if you already signed up with NUS, your discount will be honoured until it expires which I believe is 12 months after you signed up to spotify premium using NUS.
How can you get around the university verification though for this?
Gutted I missed out on this - only have a NUS card

Yeah, they've just stopped me getting 4.99, i'm on nus, not on unidays. Unidays don't accept my place of learning, anyone got a valid cheap unidays supported institution, ideally one that qualifies for nus, studentbeans and unidays!
