Spotify's "Come Back to Premium" promotion - 3 months for £9.99 for former subscribers

Found 14th Dec 2015
If you're a former premium subscriber that cancelled before the 1st November, Spotify is running a promotion that lets you subscribe for 3 months for £9.99 until the end of the year. Most promotions are for new users/subscribers, whereas this is for former premium subscribers.

(And, yes, you could a new account, but some people like to be above board - or, perhaps more importantly, don't want to mess about with their playlists etc!)

Good deal, especially if the 3 months for 99p offer expired. Personally I don't mind making a new account to get the introductory deals. But it's heat from me...
Cheers Halo, just got my 3 months for 9.99. Hot!
Flame deer show your self !!!!
Should be "get 3 months for £9.99 for being a loyal paying customer for years" Bloody annoys me how companies do this.
great timing, i canceled my spotify whilst i used up the 3 free months of apple music, which is due to run out at the end of the month, spotify is FAR superior in my opinion.
If you are on Three, check out the Deezer offer

The 3 months for 99p is still available. Admittedly you'll have to create a new account but that's not exactly challenging.
I saw this offer but on my screen the other day it said to come back and sign up for 99p for the first 3 months, need to find that one really...

If you're logged out and go to this web address it should come straight up spotify.com/uk/ It just did when I logged out and went to this page.

It wouldn't take more than a few minutes to import your playlist from an old account, and for a saving of £9, i'd rather do that.

How strange. I had no problem with that deal the other day. Not sure what's happened there.
Just done Napster 3 months for a quid, offer maybe still there?

Yes. I just checked and it seems to be still on. Not sure until when.
I just got an offer of 4 months for a tenner on Tidal for the Lossless quality streaming.

This.
Worth getting a 3 Sim just to qualify for 6 months free Deezer.
I have had both services and Deezer is just as good if not better.
Got the three months for 99p a couple of days ago.

Yes, I did this too today. Had to create yet another account but never did much with my previous accounts either so no real loss. Will end up running out of payment methods before long though as if you use the same one it won't give you the offer.

Thing is, I dunno whether I'm just not using it properly or what, but I just don't like Spotify all that much. Sure for 99p or even £9.99 for 3 months it's a bargain, but it just seems to have such a restrictive interface. Am I the only one that hates having to play preset playlists which all seem to have very similar tracks in them? I want to browse and listen to actual albums, like if you were playing your own CDs (yes, old fashioned I know), not so much singles as you are forever looking for something else to play after a track or two, and I can't see anyway to do that in Spotify....

I would much prefer it if it worked like a Google music sub where you can just browse all their albums (like when you are buying them) and pick the ones you want to play, simple, effective, natural, so why the beep can't spotify offer that?

If someone knows how to make Spotify more useable I would love to know as I'm sure it is a great service, must be for them to be so popular...

I don't know if I misunderstood what you meant, but I'll answer this based on what I think you mean. They have lots of remade playlists. This is usually the first screen it comes to.If you are wanting more specific albums, and specific artists, i'd recommend searching for them. From there, on their pages it should list the albums on spotify that are available of this artist. You can then listen to these individual albums, or even make your own playlist of music you like of the particular songs you enjoy. You can save these by pressing the plus button against each song. From there, you'll have a tab called "Your music" This will list all the songs and albums and even artists you've clicked the + button against meaning you can make your playlist and spotify experience more personal to you. You can also follow artists and this way you'll be in the know when more music by a particular artist is available. I hope this is of some help.

Yes, thanks. I can see what you mean about the search. That is useful for artists you already like and as you build up a full catalogue of 'liked' music I could see how it would get better.

Thing is, I don't necessarily think a search led system like that always works, as sometimes you forget the names of artists you might like but haven't heard much from or listened to in a while, a song might come on the radio you like but you don't know who sang it etc, and sometimes you just like to try something different.

I guess the playlists kinda do that actually, but sometimes on say Google music, I could be browsing the albums and just come across one with a interesting title, or cover art I liked, or just seeing a song on it I had heard somewhere before and liked, and as tenuous as that sounds, I found some really good tunes doing that....

Spotify just doesn't seem to have that, you either search for an artist you know or hit the playlists, guess it's just a different way of doing things....

You could try creating a radio station based on a song. It will queue up other songs/artists that are simliar to your starting track. You can then thumb up/down to let spotify know if its doing a decent job. It's a good way to stay within your tastes whilst discovering new stuff.

thank youuuuuu! I was hoping Spotify would do something like this for old customers.
Expires midnight in USA which in this case translates to 7am UK time. Have just signed up for it having failed to find a better offer elsewhere.
