B. The look should not be confused with the os
C. What does Android look like?

If you're comparing Android to Windows in regards to UX design, Windows wins hands down.

you have never owned a windows 10 phone have you? they are clean, the tiles and menus are much nicer to navigate, I have been android for a month and it has been a huge step backwards coming from w10 to android UI wise. if Microsoft weren't so busy ruining windows phone by removing their own apps from the store while launching them on competitors app stores I wouldn't have switched from w10 phone

I have a lumia phone for work, it's slow, unresponsive, unintuitive and a pain to work with. I also have to set these up on a daily basis for other employees who then complain. I have stopped using mine and just forward work calls to my android. The chronic lack of apps aside, the UI is appalling
Give it time, the move to android will be the best decision ever!

I too have a Lumia for work. As a business tool it's great. As you'd expect seamless integration with enterprise and all of the office stuff. There are lots of great business apps (office lens etc) & maps work great & it's secure!

My wife loves her Win phone (830) as does my Mum (550). They don't use any other phones. I think the problem is that if you're an occasional user (business) but revert to iOS or Android after work this leads to frustration and people calling it 's****y' just because they don't like it. It's just different!

Personally, I couldn't live with a Win device as a my own phone because of a lack of banking & personal finance apps but I also never thought I'd find a better OS than Palm and then following that BB. I do own a 550 though to use a satnav, cost me £35 on Visa path. Bargain!

Win phone has its place.
