Cheapest I've ever seen this - they've got some other great deals as well (listed in first post).

The main features of the Squier Stop Dreaming Start Playing! Telecaster With Frontman 15G Electric Guitar Pack Brown Sunburst include:

•Stop Dreaming, Start Playing! Set: Affinity Series Tele with Fender Frontman 15G Amp, Brown Sunburst
•Affinity Series Tele features a three-ply black/white/black pickguard, two singing single-coil pickups, rock-solid bolt-on maple neck and a sharp gold-and-black Squier headstock logo
•15 watt Fender Frontman 15G amplifier, perfect for blues, metal and the famous Fender clean tone
•Electronic guitar tuner
•Instructional DVD
•Gig Bag
•Cable, strap and picks

The guitar generally costs £145 on it's own so this a real bargain!

Never played a Fender Squier but seems a good deal as you get an amp with it.

Squier is kind of entry level Fender in the same way Epiphone is to Gibson.

Don't agree with this entirely! Epiphone are closely watched by Gibson and use good quality hardware. Squires on the other hand are really hit and miss! Some good, some not so good! However, as an entry level instrument they are good. Personally, anyone thinking of taking up guitar, should look closely at the Yamaha Pacific range before going for a name like Fender.

Yamaha Pacifica, sorry autocorrect.

Yamaha guitars are awful to play

This is a decent starter kit at that price tbh

rock on...

shabba!

Have these got 21 or 22 frets?. The box shows 22 however on the Squier website, the spec says 21...

Looks like the guitar in this kit is the Indonesian manufactured version which is supposed to be better than Chinese version. It has a more finished neck.Secondly it is a string through, and has a chunkier bridge, almost like the Squier Standard. Finally it has a smaller headstock and a skunk stripe up the back of the neck, which really adds a nice touch. I will verify differences when I receive mine.

+1

Voted hot - for the Epiphone Les Paul kit!

For info; ordered a guitar pack from this company recently and it shipped from Germany. No problem with the service, but the plug for the amp was EU two pin.

I have to strongly disagree. My pacifica is one of the nicest guitars I've played. It wasn't an expensive one either. Maybe I got lucky but I think their quality control is pretty good.

I would like a deal on a standard fender tele. I've seen them for about £419 in lots of places. Has anyone ever seen any one on offer anywhere?

Cracking deal. Bought said guitar for my dad for Christmas. Plays like a dream

can you confirm the spec is different to that quoted on the DV247 website? I.e. Indonesia version rather than chinese version of the affinity telecaster....

Amazing the beginner-level gear you can get for your money these days - think I paid more than that just for my 2 pick-ups. Heat added

Just phoned Customer Services.....item is being dispatched tonight and whilst he was unable to confirm immediately about type of plug - he said he would arrange for a plug adaptor to be added to the order just in case!!.....

If you're after the Slash AFD have a lot over at Thomann for the guitar by itself for £131 + shipping of £8 thomann.de/gb/…htm, or with a Peavey amp for £160 thomann.de/gb/…htm

I thought that it was always the case that the US made ones had 22 and the Fender branded copies had 21?

Anyway, so cheap for a kit. Squire can be a bit hit and miss though. mate had a strat and it was awful, although I was playing a US stay at the time so ead obviously comparing it. I once played a classic vibe tele which was made by Squire and that was pretty amazing to be honest.

Anyway, great for a beginner who won't be able to notice these things. although most of those purchased will end up in the loft or on ebay of course

Totally agree. I owned both a squire strat and a pacifica. The Pacifica was fantastic, used it as a back up stage guitar for a good while!

Agree with another comment, if you're looking for any instrument/accessory check Thomman first.

According to Fender, it's a 'top-load' design with 21 frets.

look at the guitar on the box....it has 22 frets....

Got this for son at Christmas. Paid £145 delivered from rockingrooster.com. Brilliant bit of kit.

Used to own 2 Squier strats and they were both cack. Also had a Yamaha ERG 121 and it was excellent.

Cheapest place is Thomann. They have a Fender Tele MIM in white for £350. If I was spending that sort of money though I would be tempted to go for a G&L Tribute Asat.

I'd definitely go a level up from the affinity series, one of the Standards or Vintage Modified/Classic Vibe Squier's are 100x better. Definitely worth the small price bump

I definitely agree, another good option is the fender modern player, about 30 quid more than the ones you said, the same quality but different options

Seriously do some research before saying rubbish like that. There are people who genuinely come here looking for advice. The pacifica range are a fantastic starter guitar, speaking from personal experience and from the many dozens of expert reviews out there online.
