Cool + heat
Onvif as well so can connect to NVR or NVR software.

I wonder if it stays connected or if it's one of those poxy ones that randomly disconnect.

Best thing to do imo. Some of these cheaper ones can't even handle latest WiFi encryption standards.

Do you need to use their app? Can you not use zone view or similar??
Does "EU-17 Warehouse" definitely mean it will ship from within the EU i.e. can I order multiple and be certain I won't get hit by customs charges? Thanks

Hi The_IMF,

I have a Foscam with its own web interface that will link to a NAS and work fully without the internet (within my home's LAN) and a Xiaomi that is just a crappy App based camera that sends all its content over the internet and can only be viewed with an App and not connected to with the NAS or TinyCam app. If it is Onvif, does that mean it can be connected to my NAS, Tinycam etc without sending all its footage to a Chinese server like the Xiaomi ones?

Thanks for your input!

Yup

As long as your NVR or NAS software supports Onvif (I'm not sure any don't) then you can connect this.

I highly advise against the cameras that send to China to use via an app. Especially since there are no way they would be ICA compliant.

Or supports RTSP. One of the better cheap IP cameras I bought recently also supports rtmp (Flash), but I doubt this will.

This supports "P2P" which means it will also try to connect to the manufacturer's server although it may have an option to turn P2P off, or else you can block its outbound connections on the router.

Blocking it on the router may be better because the P2P app may still work by direct connection when your mobile is connected to your LAN, which can be useful if it is required to download and convert recordings on the sd card.
