Found 5th Feb 2013
Just came across this today from an email, St John ambulance are giving you the opportunity to claim you free first aid guide.

The guide contains advice on bleeding, choking, heart attacks, resuscitation and recovery. Simply fill out your details and they will send you a text message to confirm the address that you want your guide posting out to. I have just ordered mine and have not received it yet so hopefully there are no other conditions. Would be a good guide to have a home in case of emergencies!

If you can't change the picture to that of the booklet one from the St John's Ambulance webpage, i.e. right click on photo and save it and then edit your deal, then I think a MOD should change the image as it detracts from the deal.

Sorry, didn't realise - thanks for posting. Just thought picture was a bit misleading (unless I was missing something). As mentioned by Excalibur, I'm sure a MOD could add a new picture - I've submitted a report asking them to do this for you, so fingers crossed.

thanks for posting, and thanks rich_the_fish for report, image has been changed

Lol @ Mission impossible picture! Kind of like St. Johns really.

Just FYI -

The T&Cs says:
We will call you within the next four weeks to arrange delivery and to talk to you about supporting St John Ambulance.

Ah sorry did not see that previously!

Just so people know, they ring you and ask you about sponsoring them etc, so if you are no good at saying no and don't want to set up a direct debit then avoid this and use freely available info found online

St John Ambulance, not St John's!

I understand that my mobile phone number will be used by St John Ambulance to contact me via phone in order to confirm the address that my Free Guide will be sent to. Please see Terms and Conditions

A lot of freebies are doing this now. I received 3 issues of a cycling magazine that also required the same.
I asked why, It's to stop scriptors applying and generating addresses

Thanks OP, have some heat

They have an excellent app on the iOS store

i know what u mean it is quite misleading i clicked on this after seeing the photo!!

I give out my mobile phone number to no-one but family and friends. Just don't accept they can really need this, when I have a perfectly adequate email address.

A good cause, but reluctantly a COLD.
