These bass guitars normally cost between £130 and £160 online and instore, making £120 already a pretty good deal. With this one though, you also get

Guitar strap (worth about £5)
Digital tuner (worth about £10)
Nylon gigbag (worth about £15)
Extra set of strings (worth about £10)

All in all, I reckon it's a very good deal, especially for a beginner.

Thats a very nice unpretentious looking bass IMO.

Good price for the spec and bundle.

A little bit skeptical about the RRP though - Stagg axes dont normally demand such price?

Heat added nevertheless.

Cheers for the heat.

I know what you mean about the RRP. Norman's quote it at £187 for the guitar itself (which I guess is £190 without the VAT adjustment), and I don't think I've ever seen a Stagg for that sort of price. Decent Epiphone bass guitars tend to start at only £30 or so more than that, so it's not as if there's much of a market at that end of the £100-£200 spectrum. I can see how something higher than £130 can be justified, since the Squier P-Bass sells for that and this looks better and is spec'ed better, but it's just not a £190 guitar.

'Tis still a thousand times better than those nasty little Starfire things Cash Converters sell for about the same cash, mind you.

Ah... what I would give for either a Chapman Stick, the original Strata Bass or perhaps a Steinberger headless in ferrari red

Or a Wal...
