Stainless Steel Flask 1L £3.50 @ Tesco

Found 20th Mar 2012
Went to my local Extra store (Edinburgh Corstorphine), had a look at the flasks as I was gonna get a few small ones and wanted to check the Tesco price against Go Outdoors or Millets etc.

Nice to find that the large stainless steel ones were actually cheaper than the little ones. Picked up a couple at £3.50 each. They had about 4 left at the store.

The 500ml flasks I have seen elsewhere have all been around £5 so I think this is a good deal. I have just checked online and it's the same price in the Tesco Groceries online so I imagine you could get it delivered with your shopping if it's in stock.

On direct at £4.05 with free delivery to store so may be better for some

Paid £4 for this a few weeks ago and its a good flask, coffee is still piping hot 7-8 hours later, solidly made too and a bargain.

Try not be over critical of items when people go the effort of posting stuff, but...

These flasks (Tesco's and Go Outdoors/Millets cheap versions as well) leak like nobodies business and they don't really keep liquids hot/cold for very long either - the two things that are usually pretty important when using a flask!

I suppose for £3.50 you get what you pay for but just be careful when storing them in a bag as you can easily end up with coffee coloured clothing...

I'll take my chances, it's only for keeping my gin cold

These do the job well enough for me in terms of keeping coffee hot through the day and no leaks on mine even though its been dropped a couple of times.

After a Litre of gin I'm guessing you wouldn't care what colour your clothes are! X)
I think Asda's 1l flask is £3.50 at present in store.

I use a flask everyday for work and you really do get what you pay for. I avoid pushbutton stoppers as they eventually start to leak and soup can block them up. Personally, as mine is for frequent use, I have an Alladin Challenger still going strong after 5 yrs and no hot spots yet (where the outer and inner walls touch and allow heat to escape, thus cooling the contents down faster. More common on the cheaper ones.) Previous to that my Coleman lasted even longer. As a test, preheating the flask and then filling with boiling water, both of my flasks will remain scalding hot 24hrs later, the insulation is that good.
    Get some sleep Locko !!!
