So...could you roll a bluetooth speaker through someone's letter box and via your phone say "Alexa disarm all alarms"?
Looks a little bulky compared to the NEO branded door sensor I have, probably because this uses 3xAAA batts rather than the CR2 mine uses.

I have one on my elderly mum's front door so I get notifications where her carers arrive and leave.
I thought for a second it uses magnets to closes a door then reverse magnets to open a door 😜

Name is rubbish sounds like it’s an internal magnetic door lock, I don’t get what you are doing with Alexa (my version unlocks the door).

Alexa is bay window 1 closed
Yes
Alexa is bay window 2 closed
Yes...

Personaly, I prefer Zigbee rather than WiFi for sensors. The battery lasts much longer.

I worry about this sort of thing too. I mean they all use your wifi, so wouldn't a thief just cut your landline and its all dead!!??

I guess it depends on the device. I have WiFi cams, which seem to lose their connection anyway, however they all have micro SD cards internally so still record everything

True if the thief sees the camera the card will be removed. Backup 4G (or 5 for the lucky) for those whose routers support this would be the way to go.

Don't even need to that for alexa, talking through the letterbox would likely work. Surprised trick or treaters didn't pick up on it this year.

Pretty sure WiFi isn't strong enough to keep a door shut...
