I've not looked at these before. Is 50kg enough for general use?
In terms of standing desks in general, I think they're great. I got one from my work when we were moving office and find it convenient. I don't stand every day, but it's a useful option to have. If mine broke I'd be happy to pay that price for it, assuming it's sturdy enough. Just make sure all your cables are long enough!

50kg seems a bit low. I think my Flexspot one is about 125-150kg, but I think that's it's static limit (I.e. I can stand on it, but don't expect it will lift me up & down).

A couple of monitors & related stuff won't tax a 50kg limit, but don't forget the weight of the tabletop, plus whatever weight is applied when you lean on the desk.

No real need for them as do standing on our wonderful train service (when they arent striking that is)

Hmm, think I'd rather have the IKEA one even though it's a hand crank rather than being powered.
