Stanley 562572 FatMax Screwdriver Set Parallel / Flared / Phillips / Pozi (20 Pieces) £39.99 Lightning Deal @ Amazon. Cheapest Amazon price prior to lightning deal was £47.99 and I've had a look on-line and can't find this set cheaper anywhere else but happy to be proved wrong

Durability and Comfort

This Stanley Fatmax 20 piece screwdriver set is good for a variety of jobs and is built to the highest standards. Chrome vanadium steel bar allows high torque and reduces the tip breakage. Thanks to the handle being moulded directly to shaft, creating a virtually unbreakable bond, these screwdrivers are designed to be highly reliable, be durable and last for long.

The smooth domed end offers fast, comfortable spinning action and the large diameter handle offers higher torque when driving wood screws.

Soft grip handle gives a better combination of higher grip and reduces fatigue. Smooth domed end gives you fast spinning action and comfort when using the screwdriver. Screwdrivers are colour coded for easy identification of the right tip type for the application.

And not in relation to any type of clothing I take it
Thanks had been waiting for the Halfords professional set to go on offer but couldnt be bothered to wait any longer.
It says 'sold out', personally I don't think it's a very useful set

Ditto...I was also waiting for Halfords to drop the price again but fed up waiting and kind of figured even if they do put it back on offer one can never have too many screwdrivers and this set from Amazon looks to be a good set and is a decent enough price compared to other places...think what swung it for me is I'd been going back and fore between the Halfords professional set and the FatMax set for quite some time but wasn't really willing to pay what they were asking for the FatMax set compared to the Halfords sets particularly when they are on offer...mind you in saying all that no doubt Halfords will suddenly drop the price just after my set from Amazon has been dispatched and I will end up buying the Halfords one anyway thus spending far more than I ever wanted to in the first place

Really depends what you're looking for and what you need it for...I guess the same can really be said for any general set of screwdrivers you buy....some will get used all the time others will be used very sporadically and some will still be brand new in 50 years time....I'm quite happy with the set as it covers everything I need and I'd looked at the prices on Screwfix of the ones I really needed and knew would be used the most and for buying 3 individually I was up to around £20 so figured I might as well get 20 different screwdrivers for £40 but each to their own

Also not surprised the deal didn't last until mid-day at this price as nowhere else is beating it.

I bought a Stanley screwdriver which came with about 20 changeable heads... For £5 at halfords. Takes up practically no space and has 4 different types of head in a variety of sizes. Could someone explain why £40 screwdriver set is apparently worth so much more? Ta
I have this set and it gets used a lot. I've had it, I'm sure 5 years now and case is still together and no screwdrivers broken. I think it's a great set. My only criticism would be that it's not magnetised, I bought a wera magnetiser and done the whole set. I also have the Halfords set and prefer the handles on them as the Stanley ones are round whereas the Halfords ones give better grip.

Go figure...Halfords has just put their sets of Advanced Screwdrivers (sets of 6 and 8 that are £15 each and aren't boxed) on offer at 2 for £20...oh yes and as I predicted my set from Amazon has just been dispatched
