They aren't actually the same -

The Op's Argos one is an FMC625D2 with a torque of 51.4nm, and space for a belt holder (not sure if included) and a battery life indicator:
stanleytools.com.au/pro…%29

The B&Q one is an FMC626D2K with a torque of 49nm, no space for a belt holder and no battery life indicator:

I've just picked up the B&Q one up from the Washington store and as a DIY'er (and a tight a***) I don't think I've made a mistake saving the tenner.

Thanks to both grumpymike and the OP.

seriously though 2x2ah batteries, that's better than most of the competition with the 1.3ah. if you get the properly awesome brushless impact driver you'd have 4 batteries, an impact driver and a drill driver for under £200 ... the coat of the batteries alone.
Awesome

I know the description mentions 1 battery required though also states...
2x 1.3ah Lithium-ion Batteries,
I paid around £50 at Homebase for this a year ago last Easter Bank Holiday. Excellent drill.

Paid £50 after Xmas at argos cold sorry
It was even cheaper a couple of weeks ago.
I paid around £60 for this last summer from Homebase so this isn't a deal. Good bit of kit though.

Typical!!! My old drill died last weekend so I bought the one with 2 1.3 batteries for the same price as this from Argos as there was none in the sale elseware...
Can anyone recomend a decent set of screwdriver bits for this ?

Makita 101pcs set for around £20 has drill bits, flat bits, and loads of screwdriver bits and holesaws
Great drill, mines taken abuse during the restoration of my mini
Love this drill. Only annoyance is the fact that the light illuminates the area below where you're drilling, because nobody thought it would be a good idea to angle it upwards a little bit

That set has two batteries. Extra tenner for impact driver would be my choice
Good drill. I've had it for nearly 3 years now. The only thing is, it is not holding the drill bit perfectly in the center, which makes it difficult to get a perfect whole as your drill bit will wobble a lot (who knows, mayby they've fixed it by now).
This drill is £80 in B&Q for 4 days since friday so think it ends soon.
Got one of these over a year ago when my trusty 10 year old De-Walt started letting me down. Got to say I'm really impressed. Loads more torque than my previous drill. I can drill straight into brick with this it really does have loads of torque. The batteries are Li-On now instead of my old Ni-Cd on the De-Walt. Seem to stay charged longer and have more stamina - It's a no-brainer, give it a try. Loved De-Walt but would recommend the Stanley for value and quality.
