I don't have these but will order them. Seems to get great reviews and I'm fed up trying to get satisfaction with a knife blade and a cheap stripper!

If you're not in a rush, keep an eye out at Lidl's seasonal offers when they have their Parkside version for around £8 which includes a case and various connecters. Lidl's version is exactly the same as CK Tools which is a quality brand in the Trade.

Or wait a few more weeks until they end up in the bargain bit with 30% off which happened in my store. Although I already had the CK version anyway.

I bought these recently for £3 or so more than the current price. They're superb, real time saver when fitting multiple lights/sockets.

Paid £15.20 back in 2017 for these, so with inflation, Brexit, Covid, Putins war & general greed on the rise since then, 25p increase over 5 years is a bargain!

aldi and lidl do exact same wire strippers at half the price,CK are the same you just pay for brand name. (edited)

Interestingly, the crimping jaws on the CK version are completely different to these, so there may be some subtle quality differences.

These are OK for those that use them from time to time. I've had a pair that's had quite a bit of use and has stopped working.

The wire cutter part is pointless, I always end up with these and a pair of wire cutters.

So the usual warning, pay more if you want better. However, I'm still to find what those are.

Funny enough I like the look of the Amazon (UMI) brand as the wire cutter looks sharper and is replaceable (held in with a screw) rather than just being part of the handle on the Stanley one.

I bought this last time it came on offer, and received a cheap Chinese knockoff. Was an absolute faff to try and get a refund, had to settle for 50% back. Hopefully Amazon have sorted this out now.

I've used these just this weekend for the first time. Brilliant - so much easier and saved me at least an hour of cursing and swearing at the older wiring in mums house. Compared to the last time I did some DIY for her, this was so much quicker, in large part thanks to this cable stripper.  Morale of the story. Always appreciate a great stripper!

sometimes cheap isn't always good. You get what you pay for. Never trust a tool that has a non rachet crimping facility

Agree cheap isn't always best, as I learned myself the hard way.

Bought an alternative cheap product only to find very poor engineering buiild quality. The wire grip/strip just fails shearing the cable useless
Its very to be put off with this product if you go with a cheaper brand.
    I would wholeheartedly recommended Fatmax

Sorry but the strain this type of stripper no matter how well made puts on the cable insulation is especially on modern LSF cables is not good. An ajustable pair that is set depending on the cable size is far better. (and eaiser to use)

I've had this exact set of strippers for over 4 years now, still good as new!
Before I once had the same design unbranded ones, broke in a few months.
