Found this drill machine at good deal i suppose. Almost save of £50.00. Comes with an additional battery.

This is similar to the Bosch 18v Li Combi Drill which is for 99.00 usually.

Stanley FatMax.

My porn name.

Usual price, picked this up December from homebase for the same, good drill though

Yep always been £99...marketing hype

Better off with a 18v Dewalt.

Got one, it's good:{

you certainly would at this price, but where can you but the Dewalt with 2 batteries for £99?

but yes, it is nearly always £99, and at homebase too.

I'd say this was better than the Bosch. feels solid, metal chuck. the Bosch undoes it's chuck as you use it (presuming were talking about the same model).

interestingly Argos clearance bargains have a couple of these, for MORE than you can buy them in store, lol.

I don't think so mate! unless you're referring to the nicd version, and I'm not buying another nicd still for as long as I live!
you cannot compare the two

Good diy drill - bank holidays it drops to £85 at Homebase. Far superior to the plastic diy dewalt tat. The hammer function is ok but it is not a pro drill. Buy one - u will be happy with your purchase.

The chuck is not metal.

The chuck is not metal.

pretty sure it is. the one I handled was metal, cold to touch etc. and the literature quotes it as metal, as well as a few reviews.

Sorry. Just bit the chuck with my laughing gear - it is steel. Apologies. It is still a good drill. Buy one.

lol! not too much damage to the old choppers I hope! you'll be needing a completely different sort of drill!

As far as I know DeWalt tools are meant for pros by default. I'd put Stanley's FatMax tools at upper-consumer level. Still, I think it's the best choice at this price. Will be getting one. Also: DeWalt, Stanley and Black&Decker are one company now.

Just bought this from Argos and it came up at £79.99. Bonus
