Can anyone say if this is any good? My old flatmate used to play SOE: to the end of time on the PS2 and the gameplay/characters seemed decent there. Don't know if those things carry over to this one though.

N.B sorry how'd you get the price down from £24 to £20 through applying the CD Keys discount? Would you buy a £20 PSN card from them or a code for a digital copy of the game?

at this price its worth a shot but im sure if you look around a physical copy can be gotten for this price. it really should of been around this price at launch as its definitely feels like a budget title and not a £40 game also it dos not really feel like a star ocean game with the lack of other planets to explorer

It should read £19.99 on the psn store if you have ps plus, with CDkeys you should be able to get a £20 code for about £18

The game itself is good, not the best Star Ocean though, it's kind of a half length one, as if to say we're still here but not got the funding to make a blockbuster game anymore. The scale of it is very small compared to previous ones, lots of backtracking over the same areas. Still classic Star Ocean systems though, and considering the lack of JRPG's on the PS4, it's definitely worth playing. Get a physical copy from Amazon for near the same price though, RPG's tend to be worth something in a few years time!

Okay so unless I'm being a complete moron you can get the £20 PSN card for about £18 with the 5% off, use and pay the £4 remaining for SO5 on PSN if you have PS+.

EDIT: Brain's just clicked, it's 20% off the original price not the reduced price. Silly me.

N.B Thanks for everyone's speedy and thorough answers.

characters are good story is good, need to be a quick reader mind I'm constantly clicking talk a few times, however if you don't pay 100% you can easy get lost/confused where to go, however there probably a function that tells you but I not found yet, I'm about 5-6 hours in and about 5% so seems a long game

No what i mean is that the price on the psn store is already £19.99 if you have ps plus. Without ps plus you would have to pay £4 extra like you said.

I must be really rubbish at the game then lol

I would advice if your asking advice about game your not 100% convinced buy a hard copy, 20 pound you can get for and if you don't enjoy it then you can get 14 back on px at game

When prices are pretty similar,I'd rather physical over digital and this can be had for under 20 quid on simply games at the moment
Unfortunately,I paid a lot more for the limited edition which my Daughter kinda got bored with early on and it remains unfinished
She found' Sword art online' much more to her liking tbh

yea and at moment you can get both sword arts for same price

Fine price but not that good. I had high hopes myself but for an rpg it's just missing something.
I've finished it but couldn't Be bothered to start again or even do post completion stuff.
And I'm a fairly Hard-core rpg lover.

Just finished this two nights ago, pretty poor JRPG, awful characters and terrible plot. Cutscenes were so uninteresting that afterwards I didn't know where to go because i had at some point lost interest in the abysmal dialogue.

I enjoyed it. Took about 200 hours to platinum (have to play through 3 times) sold my copy to Cex on Saturday as no replay value after 3x completed
