I am a hardcore Trekkie. As in I love the great Trek and ignore the rest. This is not just the best Trek movie, it's probably the best Heros Journey in Space movie I've ever seen. Shatner is amazing in this! The director completely rebooted the franchise, turning it into a submarine style dogfight movie. Everyone is flawed, lost, earnest, except Khan: a force of primal rage.

The music is timeless. This version uses a 4k Master and it shows: while the filming was on low budget tech, the film has never looked or sounded better.

Still the best trek film in my opinion. Cheers OP great price if I hadn't got it already.
Voted hot for the deal.

And because it's "The Best Star Trek Movie" ever made.

I like the one where they go camping and eat beans, is that the one where Spock's brother thinks he's God?

No he thinks he's Moses. I find 5 cringeworthy but there is one scene that absolutely devastated me anytime I saw it: when Spock and McCoy relived their pains: Spock seemingly recalling at birth his fathers instant rejection of him; McCoys father begging to be put out of his agony.

They say only the even numbers are good, but I prefer this (5?) to the one with the whales - despite Scotty talking to a mouse.
Voted hot, great movie, but the cover of this Blu-ray is awful.

Spock's "half" brother.......not to be confused with his adopted sister.......Michael. The movie's a better Star Trek story than No. 4 but is let down by the disappointing finale.
What's that front cover all about? Half expect to see Tom and Jerry in the background! Heat for the film and price though.

Also shoddy effects as ILM were unavailable.
Terrible acting from all especially Shatner - compared his performance to 2-4 and 6 and the difference is shocking.
The Klingons are buffoons, the trip to the centre of the galaxy should've taken decades at least.
They even use a projector screen for the view screen wtf.
The crew joining Sybock isnt convincing it just seems like dementia.

I could go on.

Yes. There was a writer's strike on when they made the final frontier. In fact I think William Shatner penned it

Voted hot just because because of "The Wrath of Khan" in the title.
A film worth buying for that mullet alone!
