Received my £20 copy today from Tesco.
For those without flux capacitors, it's not a bad deal but Base.com is slightly cheaper.

I got mine last Thursday (ShopTo shipped early). I'm not really a gamer but this is more of an 'experience' imo. If you like Star Trek and fancy being the captain of your own starship then you will love it!
Hope they put the lights on!

Yes, best experience on VR I've had in the few hours I've played today.

But of course, liking Star Trek is a big plus.

You're basically sitting in a chair pressing virtual buttons with the motion controllers. Sounds boring, but really satisfying. Not sure on longevity though. For multiplayer, I imagine would be great fun with 3 other people that you know well.

No motion sickness with the one either thanks to stationery position.

Only small niggle so far, is I'm finding the buttons on the side of my captain's chair too far away, meaning I have to sit on the edge of my couch and reach towards the floor. Seems like an odd thing. But can't seem to center it properly when sitting back as thee buttons would be 'in the couch'. VR problems, haha.

Use a dining chair (no arms).
I've only played the tutorial and the 1st solo mission but I'm loving it so far (Kobayashi Maru!)

I'm not one for talking to strangers either but I think it could work really well on multiplayer - there's a bit too much to do as solo-play captain sometimes and it'd be easier just to issue a verbal command.

Yeah, I thought of that; but it's a big enough faff to get the VR out, plug it in...and then switch the HDMI cables (thanks Sony for this oversight) from my PS4 Pro as is! Ha, a dining room chair is just one step too far.

I wish we were in Trek Prime though, not Kelvin.

I think the next missions after being captain, is just being one officer isn't it? Looking at the menu.

But yeah, not one for chatting to strangers either. Being a trophy hunter, gonna have to do it at least 6 times though.

Also...didn't I read somewhere that they were bringing full voice control via some special engine to the solo game? That would be excellent. I feel like it's missing that as you say.

Yeah! WTF was the thinking there Sony?
Release 2 products at the same time that can't be used together consistently without blindly fumbling behind your equipment?
