Thanks just ordered.
Great deal - even better than the lightning deal just before Christmas.
Brilliant bargain that. Thanks
Beam me up Hottie (UK Deal)
Thanks
£5 each and it completes the collection. Nice deal, thank you.
Cheers, ordered.
Excellent deal, excellent films. Cumberbatch is superb as Khan, a good follow on from Ricardo Montelban (Hilarious that some Brit-hater "trekkies" in USA are ranting that his name "Khan" meant he should have been Indian, while praising Montelban - A MEXICAN!!!!!)
Actually, Rodenberry named Khan after an old friend in the US Air Force, a certain KARL Noonien Singh ! The original premise was for a manufactured NORDIC superman. Hence Khan's son is called "Joachim" in original series and "Wrath of Khan" but Rodenberry named him for his USAF mate.
I paid £19 just prior to it's release.
Great deal

Erm.....no he isn't.
"Khan had been both the most successful conqueror and the most benign ruler of the group, ruling more than a quarter of the Earth's area across Asia to the Middle East from 1992 to 1996 with a firm but generally peaceful hand until he was deposed". Chances are, he wasn't a posh public schoolboy.....Facts are in space seed. That's why so many "Trekkies" were angry with JJ Abrams messing around with the back story. Just like he will with Star Wars Fans.......
Thanks for posting. Ordered my copy.
Does this have the UV (Ultra Violet) with it?

Want to legally own it and have a digital copy to my HP MicroServer NAS.

Er....Yes, he was.
Star Trek started long before Abrams, FFS.
Rodenberrey himself said that, about the ORIGINAL Khan.
You are just quoting one of the drips I mentioned originally

Only changes I'd make after looking round the web is that some say his friends name was Singh, some Wang, some KIM, some Kit, some Karl even Khan itself. I'm going by a TV show about Rodenberry. Fascinating, and the words about this actually coming from people who KNEW him.
Look yourself. Its more than the sneering Trekkies bothered to do - they've based it SOLELY on "Space Seed" the episode itself. Which as you may or may not have noticed, is actually fiction. And Ive not noticed many from the Indian Sub-continent called "Joachim" have you ? (_;)

TV show, lol. Must be true then. I don't know why you are getting SO defensive...It doesn't matter if Khan was named after a friend of Roddenberrys or not. The character first appeared in Space Seed, which was the ruler of the middle east and Asia. Not Gene's mate. And no, he wouldn't of been a white English public schoolboy!

Clearly you haven't noticed a few far greater liberties taken with American stories from the 60s - 70s then.
Sgt Fury in Avengers/Iron man etc is now black. Sherlock Holmes sidekick Watson in Elementary is now a woman. (as is their version of Moriarty) theres umpteen other casting liberties taken far too many to list.
Ah but - you haven't been told that by a Trekkie.
PhilK

And you're accepting the word blindly of a Trekkie.

???? Seriously. I don't know what the argument is. Star Trek. Episode. Space Seed. Khan. Happened. And the film is a total car crash. Perhaps it was Lawrence of Arabia. If they are going to make Star Trek movies, they have to abide with the old series surely? Seeing as old Spock appears in both movies. All I'm saying is there has to be consistency. Same as Star Wars. Bet he balls that up as well

Stupid argument. Doesn't matter if black or white, male or female, they are not from a different country. He was ruler of Asia and Far east. His name was Khan Noonien Singh. Not Rupert Oswald Cutherbert the third

And STILL you base everything on the episode and just ignore how the character came about.
A Mexican doesn't come from India despite what you were told by your particular source (Montelban) X)
I think Ive had enough of trying to talk to this particular wall.
Believe it as you see fit
He looked more bloody indian than Sherlock!!!
Who's Khan?
Just kiddin
Ordered, cheers :).

The timeline has been changed so Khan's backstory could have been changed too.

Just because your name is Khan doesn't mean you have to be a Pakistani in appearance. Plenty of people have Lee as a surname but do not look Oriental.
Bloody awful films, but I doubt you will find them cheaper.
Thanks, been waiting for this to drop!
Initially Benico Del Toro was supposed to play Khan but he dropped out. I have no issues with the casting decisions, I enjoyed the film.
Got it, thanks.
Great Deal, Ordered Thanks OP

Thanks to everyone saying thanks, you're all welcome. I spotted it and thought it'd appeal to a few people.

This made me sad.
