Ok for the DVD set. I've got them all on the original release. Heat

If you really wanted to annoy us you should have used a Chris Pine quote instead.

The big red cases? I had them too but the space they took was insane. Esp when sat next to the other series in the same style of box.

Yeah I've got all the series in that format, they do take a lot of room but they are in the loft at the moment lol
I sold off that big case versions and rebought these. Can’t find DS9 on DVD anywhere though.
Shame they didn't remaster this
I'm voting hot (7 of 9)

Yup. TBH, I only want it for shelf decoration and the sake of completeness. Wondering if a new box set is on the way.

Again they never remastered it

Apparently they lost money on the TNG remastering processes. Put them off doing it for DS9 and Voy.

I actually bought the remastered TNG and resold it, the colours just didn't look right and 4:3 ratio

The colours are right, they had the wrong orange hue in standard def.
Like Jeri Ryan it's still a good thing to watch after all these years.

Yeah, really takes off from S4. Borg and 7. Hit and miss with the episode stories, but really strong characters. Probably my favourite Trek.

Bet get to Durham Castle to have those eyes tested pal.
Was tempted by this at a higher price but put off by reviews questioning the production quality, besides it's all on Netflix

It's a pity as they really did an amazing job.

Probably one of the best remasters of all time.

But it wasnt just down to money, apparently the DS9 and VOY source material makes it a near impossible job.

Yup. DS9 and VOY had the effects shots only on tape. treknews.net/201…hd/
I wonder how this would look if put through something like Topaz Video Enhance AI to upscale it to 4k.

Engage

DO IT!

It's too risky

all these and more character tag lines can be yours when you become a trekkie
I believe there was some talk not so long ago about new methods of conversions doing a great job. I think there's a clip of Voyager in 4K. It looked great. But there were issues. But hopefully, maybe one day.

techradar.com/amp…ing

God knows how they managed to squeeze that out of a 480p tape recording

It's a shame they didn't just shoot it on film like TNG

I think alot of the clips floating about are using AI upscaling like I mentioned earlier. If done correctly and with care I think we could get a good remaster using those methods.

Would love it.

On that note.

I posted in another thread how I hate the recasting of iconic characters, like Spock for example (basically all of JJ Trek and Discovery).

So this kind of thing is really interesting to me, I think it looks great:

I had a load of DVDs in the loft. When I got them out they were warped by the heat in summer. Refuse to put my original star Trek DVDs in the loft now.

Now £32.99, I’ve edited the deal down 😄 🏻🖖🏻
If anyone is new to Voyager and buys this...

...just wait for the Irish episodes.

They're the best ones.
