What's a DVD?

It's a shiny round thing that enables you to watch the complete Voyager series cheaper than if you bought it from, say, iTunes - which is fifty quid. It's also a physical item that you own - so has a resale value, or can be lent to family and friends. Remarkable invention. Check it out.

Ah yes. I use them as coasters.

There's no HD version of Voyager or DS9 so this is the best qulity you are going to get.
Love this series of treky, this does satisfy my scifi geek side, why they have not released a HD version.
My favourite Trek too. Been rewatching some recently. The episode where the crew discovers they are copies of the original crew is pretty dark.
This is on Netflix, but tempted to get for the extras.

Because it cost CBS millions to remaster TNG, and it didn't get the returns they were expecting/hoping for - that plus the fact that DS9 and Voyager are technically harder to remaster pretty much killed any hole of getting HD versions.

The reason TNG was technically easily to remaster is that it's entirely on film, and almost all the effects were done by optical compositing - Voyager was mostly CGI (they might have used models for a couple of seasons, but it was definitely all CGI by the end), and many of those assets have been lost or are no longer readable (as the 20 year old file formats aren't compatible with current software).

@terrestris has summed it up well, but if you want the longer read as to why, clicky below:

Great link, article (sadly) sums up why there're no Voyager & DS9 remasters, quite disappointing as Voyager is my favourite, and as a completist/collectors mindset, will always have this nag of 2 Trek series not in HD...

If you want to get technical, Enterprise isn't completely in Full HD either - when the Blu-rays were done all the VFX were re-rendered at 720p to save money (so it does still qualify as HD, just not what you'd probably expect). What's more, Enterprise can't ever be released in 4K, as season 4 was shot digitally at 1080p rather than on film (possibly season 3 as well, I'm not sure) so no higher resolution version exists.
Yeah read that somewhere regarding ENT, suppose 720p but especially 1080p upscaled to 4k is not too bad, compared to SD quality we're getting with VOY & DS9.
