Pay to Win will be back shortly. You can get a similar experience by rewatching Return of the Jedi and pretending you’re playing as Luke while burning fivers at twenty minute intervals.

It's Battlefront 2 - I'd cold this into oblivion if I possibly could.

all the boring recycled comments that have been spouted about 1000 times here and everywhere else. I think most people get that pay2win is bad and EA are greedy and underestimated the backlash.

Despite that I have given heat as the price is lowest it's been.

Glad they removed the paid lootboxes. Was given as a gift and I'm having great fun playing it. The graphics are amazing and there's tons of content this time. Space battles FTW!!!

Wouldn't happen to be looking in a few mirrors?

Heat added.. been waiting for this to come down in price.. Thanks

If you really want to put yourself through playing this pay-to-win mess, the price should be dropping pretty rapidly soon. It didn't sell very well (33% less retail sales than the last game despite significantly larger console install bases).

when it's running a free to play/pay2win/paywall model isn't the game just worthless at any price, that or it's dlc costs thousands, except its not dlc, its the missing content in the game behind the paywall

This is the start of decrease in price, can see it being sub £30 before Christmas then £20 within a few months!

Good price for pre xmas shoppers. Wish people would stop going to deals just to be negative, if it’s not something to be tempting you to buy don’t look at posting find something you want instead and praise that poster.

You get that is literally how this website works - we vote positive and negative. The comments allow us to explain further if it is more complex than just being a poor price.

Sorry kids Santa didn’t bring you Star Wars due to the micro transaction integration.

Some people don’t have a choice about buying it, if it’s a present.
Edited by: "ashmatuk" 13th Dec 2017

Those voting cold or have a negative comment to say about it, really you aren't getting anywhere doing so.

The game is going for around £42 on ebay, despite simply games selling it for £39.99 previous to this price drop. Also morrisons have it for £34.99. Those protesting are unfortunately a little needle in a hay stack.

Kids want this game for xmas regardless. Eventually EA will make their money through in game purchases and they'll be the last ones laughing and not you.

If you want to expose your kids to pay to win mechanics and disappointment then by all means go ahead but of course you have a choice

You can tell not being able to play the new Star Wars game is eating them up inside. It is a good game and it isn't pay to win.

What truth??

I have a bad feeling about this.

Think (hope) it might go a bit lower before Xmas...

What Rens11 said

People crying about 'pay to win' clearly haven't played the game and are just repeating what everyone else said. It's far from a big magical 'WIN' button...no skill = no win regardless how high your upgrades are. I've been playing since early access. Already had my moneys worth and its a definite improvement on the first Battlefront. Also...if this is the cheapest the game can be found then heat for OP.

Cheapest price at the moment. Can see it getting cheaper soon though. Heat

I loved the single player campaign, really enjoyed it. Was just pleased it had one this time!

Destiny 2 was down 50% on retail sales, as there is a bigger shift to digital downloads, so you can't really count on that

I've battled the trolls on every bf2 post. Heat for price, I got mine from Morrison's, another boring troll infested post that was voted cold

Very good price.

It serves EA right, and should be a lesson to all, that the gaming community will only allow cosmetic microtransactions in multiplayer games.

I am, however fully enjoying playing it, and am not going to not enjoy in by way of some passive aggressive sulk like many are.

Microtransactions will come back, but probably be just cosmetic at best, or 'shortcut kits' a la Battlefield 1. The problem people had with this is that they created an upgrade environment where grinding was so ridiculously laborious that it felt like they were cajoling people into paying extra.

Either way, I'll still be playing and enjoying it, without shelling out a penny more.

£35 for a P2W game no thanks

it will be interesting to see how fast and how far the price will drop on this (poo).

Game is a lot of fun, ignore the negative comments, for this price it's a blast

Great so we allow EA to farm cash just to appease ungrateful kids?
