But what about the sense of accomplishment?
No.
So much for the friendly community ffs
Haven't made a U-Turn on all the other pay to win mechanics though mate. Don't be fooled by their press releases.
It's a P2W mess
Don't drink and post is my advice. Ignorance (the reaction to this game has been mega-negative- EA's answer is the most down-voted comment on reddit by some margin) won't protect you from the savage hoards either. It isn't personal so don't take it as such.
Don't take the chill personal
there's a campaign people!!
on a side note I am against the stupid layout they have gone with mind for online multiplayer!
6 hours long campaign for £40 - no thanks.
DLC FOR THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE FREE, where no other game offers all dlc for free
True - not that it has an ending by all accounts - that'll come in the future at further cost with season pass/DLC - AAA gaming is so broken.
Now just got to find the other £2500 so I can unlock Luke Skywalker.
It's not you or the price, it's the game itself.
Bah, bah, baaah bahhh bah!
I agree with all of that comment. It is true. I played Clash of Clans for 3 years and started to pay for faster upgrades and suffered withdrawal when I stopped. They make a huge amount of money that was and BF2 will be no different.
IF you really can't resist, at least wait until it hits £15.
This is the death of games if it succeed.
People have had enough of EA, i am still annoyed that they ended burnout, and kept giving us crappy need for speed games.
However as the backlash already indicates until they sort out their pay to win loot boxes nobody should be buying this game. Even though they have temporarily suspended the premium in-game currency, until they announce what it is you have to assume its a bait n switch to make sure they don't lose too many pre-orders and day-1 sales
I had no issue in accelerating the game to get a particular weapon or similar but (as everyone else has said), it's now interrupting the core game play. I refuse to pay for a game that isn't complete without paying extra or being forced to play many hours, in order to play the game I wanted.
It's like buying Monopoly and not being able to buy green or purple cards until you'd played it 50 times (perhaps that analogy only works for me).
I love Battlefield but I will not buy it any more and EA cannot just make piecemeal concessions to do the minimum possible.
