Darth Plagueis: one of the most brilliant Sith Lords who ever lived. Possessing power is all he desires. Losing it is the only thing he fears. As an apprentice, he embraces the ruthless ways of the Sith. And when the time is right, he destroys his Master - but vows never to suffer the same fate. For like no other disciple of the dark side, Darth Plagueis learns to command the ultimate power...over life and death.

Darth Sidious: Plagueis’s chosen apprentice. Under the guidance of his Master, he secretly studies the ways of the Sith, while publicly rising to power in the galactic government, first as Senator, then as Chancellor, and eventually as Emperor.

Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious, Master and acolyte, target the galaxy for domination - and the Jedi Order for annihilation. But can they defy the merciless Sith tradition? Or will the desire of one to rule supreme, and the dream of another to live forever, sow the seeds of their destruction?

Yup. But it’s still okay to read.

What they call legacy meaning not canon but a great story nevertheless.

It's now called 'legends'. A great story although some of it doesn't make sense with the Canon stuff. One of my favourites behind Thrawn and Tarkin

Yes 😋
But it's really REALLY good.

This was on 99p list a few weeks ago & and I got it then. Glad that's all I paid for it because it's boring me rigid. All those complaints folk made about the prequel trilogy being about trade disputes, taxes and politics? This has all that in spades. Those complaints about Solo answering questions no one was asking? A whole book of that.
The Star Wars books have always been patchy. The original Thrawn trilogy was great, those early Han Solo and Lando Calrissian books were nonsense but great fun, Splinter of the Mind's Eye did better with Kaiburr crystals and told a great story that was planned as the first sequel. What they all have in common is really catching the feel of Star Wars. Something this fails, for me, to do in any way.
