Kinda wish I could vote twice for 'Star Wars® Empire at War™: Gold Pack' alone.

Heat for Battlefront 2 but I am sure the servers for multi are closing down.

Where's pod racer? oO
Never did get round to playing kotor 2... be rude not to at that price
Dark Forces II and Mysteries Of The Sith - my first ever PC games. Remember getting them for Xmas in those old school massive PC boxes. Still have them upstairs in my man cave. I remember looking at the stormtroopers and being amazed at how real they looked haha. Ahhh nostalgia.

Just depends - Unless you happen to have a 4:3 monitor connected (And don't mind making it primary whilst you play the game) take a look at the messing around that is needed to get it working properly.

kind of tempted by this, haven't brought anything on steam for a while and haven't played many star wars game but have the sudden urge to do so, any games that stand out from the pack? :P
Must... resist...
Yes I've been waiting for Knights of the Old Republic.
AH.......Mysteries Of The Sith .......playing that back in the day with my twin 12 mb voodoo 2 graphics cards
Will the servers for BF2 be closing down? Lots of really good cheap games here, head added.

If you haven't played Knights of the Old Republic 1 or 2 and like RPG's I implore you to pick up both. Kotor 1 is my favourite game of all time. Amazing game. Kotor 2 isn't as good, but it is still fantastic, the game was rushed at release so the ending is terrible and some content was cut off due to time constraints, but there is a mod which will restore everything Obsidian didn't get a chance to finish, including the ending, which was finished by the fantastic modding community. Link here - deadlystream.com/for…83/
Even with that huge mod, they are tons more for both games. For the price they're at, it's well worth buying them.

Depends if you are a 'gfx over gameplay' kind of person. Some of the games are great, just very old (1995 for Dark Forces IIRC)

I am all for game play, graphics are icing on the cake but i play allot of retro , dark forces was one i was actually interested in before and i believe it has a graphics mod too, tried playing it a while ago but on ps1 would be much better on pc i would imagine, is the second one any good?

Yeah, but GameRanger has already set up servers to take over from GameSpy

Dark Forces is very Doom like in technical ability, Jedi Knight was to Dark Forces as Quake was to Doom. Both were excellent for the time, but lacking in features of later FPS's. Plus Jedi Knights' expansion Mysteries of the Sith was pretty good too! The follow-ups Outcast and Academy I never got a chance to play so can't say either way.

Battlefront 2 is considered one of the best Battlefield (32v32 class based arena shooter) type game, a little aged now, but there are loads of mods that add a huge amount.

Republic Commando is a fairly decent FPS shooter, does not get anywhere near the recognition it deserves.

KOTOR 1 & 2 are pretty much the precursors to the Mass Effect game style, so if you like the way ME plays and Star Wars........

Empire At War, pretty much C&C Generals but with Star Wars units. Very good.

Force Unleashed is a pretty good Third Person DMC type game where you play as Vaders apprentice Starkiller (The original name George Lucas gave to Luke incidentally). Good story, decent gameplay and some really nice levels. Ultimate edition has some good scenarios and extras. Some people didn't like it, but who could resist a love story

Force Unleashed 2 is a much weaker game than FU1. Very short with a meh story. Not great.

Starfighter, Republic Heroes and the Pinball games I haven't played. X)

Different idea of what is and isn't acceptable to me. (I use nirsoft.net/uti…tml but I have a suitable monitor 1280x1024 also connected). No way I would put up with stretched on a widescreen monitor. Just unacceptable hassle for something still for sale. (If hacks can almost solve most of the problems then they should do the same).

I need a refund from Steam. Bought KOTOR about 3 weeks ago and i've tried every tweak/fix/patch going, it still refuses to play on my Windows 8.1 computer or the Vista OS I have on the dual boot. Steam should be tidying these games up so you don't have to go trawling around on google for patches to actually play them on anything running Vista/7/8.
Outcast is a great game, when the new Unreal engine was used, the Stormtroopers really looked good then, and you could hack off limbs and choke/force push off of the edge of things, such a great and dynamic game.

KoToR is probably the best SW game made, after Supremacy.
Great big bargain bundle! Went for a trawl and Steam tells me I already own them all!
Thanks Jaystan.
Have added KOTOR to the collection.
Going to get Dark Forces 2 just for the nostalgia factor
No X-Wing VS Tie Fighter?

I don't think you will have much luck. W8 is not listed as a supported OS.

"OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7"

Not sure ANY game on Steam has 8 listed as compatible. Probably for this type of reason.
It will be a long time before I bother to even look at 8.

EDIT: It would appear some are listed as 8 compatible;
"OS: Windows®XP SP3, Windows Vista/7/8 with latest service packs and updates installed "

Also with Gabe Newell hating Windows 8 and it being the main reason for Steam OS and the big push into Linux it is doubtful they will be doing anything to help out Windows 8. Most just hope it will hurry up and die like Vista.

Nope, KOTOR is actually just the best SW game ever made. The only other one that comes close IMO is Jedi Knight.

I've personally yet to find a game that doesn't run on Windows 8 and I've been running Windows 8 on my gaming PC since the day it was released.

Starfighter was OK. It came out very early in the PS2 life cycle though so I can't imagine that it's aged particularly well.
Empire at War Gold Pack...yes please!

Oh ****, knew when I built this PC I should have gone for Win7. 8.1 is growing on me admittedly but I have this distinct feeling I've shot myself in the foot retro-game wise.
Everyone loves there fix of Star Wars on bank holiday weekend.
Cool some more Star Wars tables on the pinball game. Cheers OP

Could not agree more my games run better if anything and boots in less then 6 secs. People moan about Windows 8 metro but I have it so you never ever see it using classic shell even have a windows 8 logo as the start button.
