Thanks for taking the time to take and upload the pic @cadburylady33 - with the new movie due out in a few weeks I'm sure they'll make great Christmas presents (some of the Mods are very excited I won't name names )

32589834.jpgStill a good price to be fair just don't want people going on the rrp price

Great prices but the Smart R2D2 definitely not worth £120... Amazon have it for £44 and Tesco for less. Still it's the cheapest around!

Bought the Smart R2D2 from them earlier this year it was £29.99

sorry £29.99

someones been to Home Bargains for the first time.

Important to check the packaging for R2 as it gives a date for app support to be cut off. This may affect some people decision as is (from memory please check) spring 2018

This is what put me off it In the end, £30 is a lot for us to spend on something & felt it was too big a risk. Shame as it looks like a lot of fun

I think it depends on the age of the 'kids' your buying for. If they are young enough to play with it and get tired/bored before support becomes an issue you should be fine. If you're buying for a big-kid they may want more enjoyment than the support time allows.

It's a timebomb really as you have no idea how quickly support withdrawal will affect the product.

You can use it without the app although you lose the remote control option. It has 3 different manual modes selectable on the unit which are non-interactive.
