This looks like a game I want but, then again... Fcuking. E. A.

Chances are the footage I saw from this game was another game and this one won’t be anything like it, but you can guarantee there will be “surprise mechanics” galore.
I'm going to vote cold, just because this is EA so it will be a Free-To-Play model with a £40 entry fee and rammed with as many Microtransactions as the new Ghost Recon game, and so they can apply their new method of Microtransactions they aim to implement.

Sorry anything with EA's name on is to be poor value for money and overpriced (same with Activision)

Don't pre order games. Christ it's EA. That should be there legal warning there forced to issue.
Why would you pre-order an EA game, let alone a EA Star Wars game?!?! (Look what happened to Battlefront 2).

Just wait for the reviews to come out and see how many microtransactions and "suprise mechanics" there are first. You'll be able to get it for a good price soon after release, this isn't a Nintendo game.

Had it pre ordered on PS4 @ £62.99 so had to opt for this instead for a £20 saving.

I can imagine the making of, is EA pushing the devs to incorporate more ways to push Microtransactions and loot boxes.
Will this game not be available via ea access. (12 months=£20 or so)?
Yeeeaaaahhh, I’m a wait til this drops in price.

Rogue Leader needs to happen. Would take Squadron if Leader is too much of a pain to remaster
Is anyone getting payment problems at cdkeys?
Edited by: "chumpyman" 4th Oct
The standard version pre-order is £39.99 at CDKeys so if you're in to digital extras then and extra 3 quid is a great deal at the moment.

It's also Triple Force Friday so you may see the price fly back up again, and not hit that level until a while after release.

Although EA has burned me before it's new Star Wars story so as usual I suppose I'm in!

Jesus H Christ, why isn't this a thing already?
Ah right, EA has the license

Silly question no doubt, but will the code be emailed on day of release, or do I have to wait for the code in the post?

Battlefront 2 is incredible now. Say what you want about it after the release, but they’ve done an incredible job fixing it. There’s new updates all the time now, all free. Micro transactions were removed some times ago too.
They shouldn't have needed to fix it in the first place. Why can't we just have a decent game on launch, instead of having to wait 2 years for them to fix it.

If that's the way this game is going to go too, then it's even more reason to not pre order or buy it on launch. They'll stop trying to get away with this if we vote with our wallets.

Yeah, you’re right. I just don’t understand what not preordering it will do. People preorder and buy Fifa and that’s the same trash every year. EA can release trash on launch, full of micro transactions and everyone will still buy it.
The point is pre ordering the game tells EA "we'll buy the game no matter what state it's in on launch".

Hopefully people have learnt from the launch of Battlefront 2 and will at least wait and see.

Very true about FIFA. I really think they could just re-release last year's game, with new box art, and lots of people wouldn't even notice.
EA = Price will drop like a stone.
