I never understood why digital games aren't the same price on Xbox store …I never understood why digital games aren't the same price on Xbox store worldwide

The same reasons wages are not the same worldwide. Different economies, differing incomes

Word of warning to anyone trying this however, I am pretty savvy with buying from other regions and I cannot for the life of me get a purchase to work via the Argentina store. I only spent £7 from SeaGM and the credit has been applied to my ARG account, however I have tried various VPNs on my phone and chromebook, to no avail.

Yes it's annoying! Why do some countries get nearly half price games compared to us.You can except small differences of price in currency. But it's digital so should be same worldwide.👎👎👎👎👎👎

This.

These Argentina posts need a disclaimer, people can and do end up out of pocket, the method isn’t guaranteed to work for everyone.

I get that but it costs EA the same money to produce so they are happy to lose money in Argentina while charge UK double .

Digital costs don't vary in production, it's code. No box, no cover, no disc , no postage.

A couple of quid difference maybe but this is half the cost .
Yes totally agree with you they can rip us off but not the argies makes no sense as you say there's no difference in production whatever the country!
TBF, if I was on £6000 a year, I'd expect to pay less for games. Pretty poor country.

Gaming should be available for all 😁
Don't know why pc games are cheaper either!👎👎👎

Good number of games are made in first world countries where engineers and artists are relatively paid well compared to third world countries average income.

Cost of making AAA title has ballooned up significantly in last decade. If the publishers are to charge same as Argentina in their primary markets, they will never recoup the cost let alone turning a profit.

Regional pricing has existed for books for years e.g. “Eastern Economy Editions”. Publishers don’t do it out of the goodness of their hearts either. This is the only way they can fight piracy in those regions. This is why PC games are priced a little cheaper as well.

It's why modding and filesharing is so widespread in these countries.
It will be on EA Access later this year at the end of summer/early fall, Christmas by the very latest for those that can’t afford it or don’t want to pay full price for it.

so don’t worry about it, EA Access is cheap enough that you could pay £1 more than this price and have a whole year to complete it, plus their other games, or you could just take out one months access.

i have heard rumours so don’t shoot the messenger, me, if it’s wrong that’s why it’s a rumour and not confirmed news, but it was meant to be shown as coming to EA Access at the yearly Star Wars Convention, called celebration which this year was meant to be in August, but obviously it’s been cancelled, BUT they are doing streams from their Lucasfilm headquarters, no set dates but hopefully august still and they should announce this there, I think.

Sometimes you have to wait a few days before you can then buy the game using the credit

If you get a regional error at purchase wait 72h and then try again. It should go through then. Don't attempt to buy before the end of 72h as the clock will start again as far as I'm aware.

Yep, my account took a week to 'unlock' but after that I can buy any game and it goes straight through.

If they priced the games the same price in Argentina as in the uk, then no-one would buy them there, and piracy would skyrocket. Publishers figure theyd rather sell the game for half than not sell any copy

I used my Windscribe VPN to purchase a game for my son earlier - gifted it to him and redeemed it on his account via the web with the VPN active. I added the gift card to my account, again, VPN active, with no issues at all.

I see Doom Eternal can be had for around £12-£13 using the same method.
