Spotted this bargain whilst browsing The Internet Gift Store. Elsewhere this is selling for around £9 to £15 delivered. Use code FR33DEL for free delivery.
  • Contains: 2 Metal Sheets, illustrated Instructions
  • No glue or solder
  • Package dimensions: 16.5cm x 12cm
  • Model is approximately 7.5cm tall
  • Ages 14+
This Tie Fighter is no joke it has modified weapon thingies to make them even more Darth than the regular Stormtrooper ones. The model itself is very intricate, and yet easy to assemble. It starts as two 10cm x 10cm steel sheets and finishes as an amazing 3D model about 8cm tall.

Use the easy-to-follow instructions to pop out the pieces, bend the tabs and connect them at the attachment points. It works best if you have a pair of pliers on hand.

I know I'm weird, but I quite enjoy these... well, up until a little bit snaps off anyway

Or as a gift for a child. My 7 year old has had one sat on pieces on the side for months I started it but lost my patience!
You can get these a lot cheaper, here's an example on Gearbest for £1.70;

I got my last batch from Ebay, if someone were to pay '£9 to £15' they will have been ripped off. Even £4 is twice as much as you need to pay.

I've done quite a few of these now, they're really good fun. It takes me a couple of evenings to do the more complex ones, or one if there's no curves involved (the metal doesn't like being made into a circle). That TIE fighter was a particularly challenging one, the front and back curved areas were really fiddly.

(PS, this one was my absolute favourite... gearbest.com/mod…tml )

Think they may not be official Star Wars products slimy31; I've never heard the AT-AT called a '3D Metal Puzzle Dog Soldier Model Toy - FROST' before
I tried C3PO and it was tiresome! I ended putting him in a little net bag in pieces like the one chewbaca carries him in

I told my son I did it to make it look like the movie

I think we all knew these "Pokèmon" keyrings weren't official. But no-one really cared, did they?

Some of the fake Metal Earth Star Wars models do have some made up names/text on the bases. Only some have bases, and only a few of those have text on, but worth noting to avoid those as it does look stupid.

True, but they still look pretty decent. These were my first three, the TIE fighter is correctly labelled, the other two are just blank bases;
