I so wish this had been available when I was a kid. Scaled accurately to the same ratio as the figures. The hull detaches to reveal the insides of the ship, where Luke practiced his lack of lightsabre skills against that floating 80's store securiity camera and R2 kicked Chewie's ass at plasticine monster chess. Superb.

Details from Argos:

* The most feature-packed Millennium Falcon to date.

* Features lights, missiles, vehicle sounds and character voice sounds!

* Includes Han Solo and Chewbacca figures.

* Requires 3 x AAA batteries (not included).

* For ages 6 years and over.

Next best price is £129.99 on Play, I believe. RRP is £150. Good deal if this is what tops that Christmas list. It tops mine. Can of course, allso be used with Argos' current offers of a free £10 voucher for spending over £100 up unitl 4th November I think.

Just got to convince my eldest he wants it now ;-)

These were around back then.

I know the Falcon was available, but I can't remember there being a true scale version. Could be wrong of course; it was obviously in my parents' interests to maintain my ignorance.

It was around but it was smaller.

Yeah, that one I know. The updated version was one of the first things available with the new wave of figures. This is a completely different thing I think, being about three foot in length. How the hell you're supposed to pick it up and go running around the house making laser sounds I have no idea.

Judging by the temp - someone must have found it cheaper somewhere? Nice of them to post the link ;-)

Perhaps they don't like Star Wars. Heathens.

It's cheaper on ebay... but then so is everything.

Hot from me.

crikey. if my parents had ever spent 100 quid on a plastic toy at christmas, i would have wondered who'd swapped them.

Me and my brother had one of these it was brilliant! Gonna have to try and dig it out the loft for my son
