No offence, but this doesn't look very fun...(let's hope it doesn't reflect the quality of the film either!)

Took 2 whole minutes for you to reply. Disappointing. Find my lack in faith in you as expected.

My faith in you tells me the film must be great.

Well the film is not a comedy so I don't think it's meant to be funny. But being made by Disney it's meant for kids and weird Star Wars fans, not normal adults. And yes I've seen it, was worth a watch but nothing compared to Street Fighter.

I'm afraid it does reflect the quality of the film!! I saw it last night. The movie was absolutely horrendous. I watched a triple screening of The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker and honestly, it was 0 out of 10 compared to the other two. The other two were amazing compared to the latest one. This robot is one of the best things in the movie so if you don't even like this robot, you're in for a rough ride - It's definitely the worst Star Wars movie I've ever seen - no question. It's a really poor movie on so many levels.

Not a patch on the other droids and that’s a shame as I loved BB-8’s design

this isn’t even anything to do on my opinion of the films I don’t like the design that looks like a megaphone on wheels, which I know is the point but I don’t like it personally.

even films I don’t like I can usually find designs, characters or vehicles or scenery that I like

p.s

Some people have seen the film since it opened at midnight last night & has been in the vue since 9am this morning
Watched last night at midnight loved the film

Watched last night at midnight loved the film

Watching the other two in the triple screening just before this one really showed up this film so much. I would love to hear from other people who saw all three back to back last night as it was extremely noticeable how bad this one was in comparison to the other two. I actually really like the other two, even though alot of people here usually hate them. If they hate those, I can't imagine how much they will hate this one. I can see this is taking a hammering on imdb (currently 6.8 out of 10 and users in the US have given it an average of 5.7) - Alot of the 10 out of 10 ratings tend to be fake paid reviews on imdb by the film companies, so I think this is far lower than those figures).

I saw new film, loved it for a number of reasons. Sure it's gonna have flaws but when your onto the 11th film in a franchise that is 40 years old I'm not sure what you can compare it to.. it is incomparable, a one-off and a complete nostalgic tribute to the previous films. If you love star wars go see it, if you don't then don't bother...

It's not a one off though - it's a direct continuation of the previous movies. That's why they did the triple screening for people.

Ffs. Yes, I know the film isn't a one off. I don't live with my head in the sand, I meant star wars as a WHOLE is a one off. Is there another series with as much canon, history, films, books, marketing pull etc? Maybe Star Trek is the nearest similar thing.

They'll make more films as it's also a huge money making machine so that will always taint artistic integrity and critical response.
Is this Star Wars' version of Forky from Toy Story - and the brass neck of them selling Forky merch?
shite design

This posting is for a Star Wars toy for children. Don't know why people are discussing whether the film is good or bad. Anyone would think this posting was for the film.

Yeh - I'm not sitting through that again. All the others were very rewatchable for me. The storyline was so dumb and like it was written by a 4 year old - just so bad. Take out all the special effects and how on earth did this story / script get anywhere - it's unbelievable. Most things were just put in the movie for no good reason at all and there were so many ludicrous plotholes - after the last movie, it was setup perfectly for them to make this into a great movie. Regarding the toy - it's no BB8 or R2D2. They've really dropped the ball with this film IMO. I guess, if people go in with very low expectations maybe they will leave happy.

The top trumps ending could only be written by a 4/5 year old.

At one point I actually thought one of them was going to say 'force field on'

Maybe you were just tired after the Star Wars binge. I found them all around the same level, enjoyment wise. No need for spoiler, just really confused how you would rate it 0 and the others amazing when really they're just ok. Very samey. Nothing to write home about. I'm in no rush to see any of them again

This toy is virtually impossible to keep upright. Cute on the screen. Rubbish on the carpet
